guys, actually what makes the game mmo interesting is the contents, pvp and events.

obviously Gamez AION in particular has pvp but non in the rest. which makes it lame.

they strip out contents, put on ultra gears which makes them OP. and on top of that, oh God the bugs. worst is that people abuse it.

to tell everyone honestly this is the first MMO game i played ever since RF which was about 6 years ago.

I played retail/p.servers too, that time, which was interesting because the donation gears were still attainable(although harder) in-game and no Godlike items. also Contents were not ripped off. you get the best in PVP, Contents and events and makes people more interested in the game than actually getting pissed of some bugs being abused.

I understand Gamez AION server is still underdevelopment at the moment and i felt being biased saying they're ripping of the contents of the game but sadly on some parts, they are, which was supposed to make the game interesting.

I don't believe in retail you get bored as hell as gamez, i just hate PL'ing too much.

This reminds me of a book I read a while back. The main character got absorbed into gambling and his life wasted away. He continued to do the same things everyday, giving him a nostalgic and nauseous feeling after years of committing his life to it. Sure, he found it fun for a little while, the anxiety and adrenalin rushing through him as he gambled. But after years of this, he became sick. He finally looked into the mirror, seeing his old and bitter self, wrinkled from old age and fat and was disgusted by it. He finally came to realize it was time to move on, he pretty much lost 20 years, as well as all the intelligence he gained during his youth. So when you feel like you're done with something, move on from it.

yeah.. sadly thats true.. people need to slow down sometimes.. perhaps by doing so you'd be able to appreciate that big creature flying above the map instead of being fixated on that stupid lfg chatbox.. :D

the thing is.. i was one of the first few asmodians to ever set foot in inggison.. and i was amazed by the view and all.. i used to go there to take a break from the oh so then busy reshanta fortress war.. and when i try to express that to my friends they tease me as being too nerdy but hey, that's precisely why i played this game in the first place.. no matter what your reason is enjoyment is much more prolonged if you take it slow..

eventually you'd get bored but at least you can say you've enjoyed the journey and it was worth it.

Aion is korean game, Koreans dont complain much for the grind, unlike us westerns players... I think the concept of fun differs, so we seek private servers with quick ways to get to the end game... but the end game is just that, the end. So it will become boring eventually. I even read once that chinese MMOs make more emphasys in the ways you have to comunicate with others players, making the game more a social experience than a competitive one. I dont think the games are at fault but us...

I begun to play Aion when i watched the Aion vision trailer 2 years ago I think... i was engrosed with the idea of a game like that, i was strucked down by a steel hammer when i realized the amount of grind you need to do in order to advance. I moved to a Pserver and never again looked at retail with any hope of return. I dont find Aion boring... though it can be repetitve. I suppose that if you play 9 hours daily, the game will become boring quickly... But also I question the sanity of a person playing all that amount of time in a daily basis. So again to get bored quickly with a game its a players fault, not a game one.

About the stuff of people being too serious with the stats numbers and such... well, losers are losers in the real world, or in the virtual one.

i think it's human nature. people tend to get bored or tired of anything at some point. it's not just games or stuff it also include getting bored of other people as well. that's why it's nice to have variety sometimes.

that's the reason games gets updated or get new features, so as to satisfy these group of people.

you can play other games or find a good hobby during those times, then just go back when you feel you're missing it.

it's ironic though that people play games to entertain and get rid of boredom. but if a game(or something or someone) becomes boring many times, maybe it's time to find something else.

Mhm I still enjoy aion, But I do miss doing instances like I used to in retail... the groups I would be joining are just so much fun. I quited retail because of the grind I was tired of lvling lolz. But yeah now im trying to just relax and pvp or help other people on stuff. Sometimes I even bust out my 360 and play some Black Ops xD!

._. The thread isn't quite about how boring Aion is but how players make it more boring in their perspective than it should be, because they think in numbers and not in fun.

I tend to make confusing walls of text it seems o:

thats human psychology..well even you play other games as you gain experience on the game you will always end up bored. its up to you how will you get a thrill. may be you can give weak players a good item. lower your rank then get rank up again.. lol

of course it can get pretty boring. theres not much anything else to do in game except pvp. and with all the zerg and with some contents, forts and other things not working, you'll get the idea why
just waiting for the next mmo to be released
