After several months-

If this is wrong section for posting these things, I apologize. But I just have a small inquiry regarding the patch updates I've missed (2.5-2.6, as well as the general GamezAION traffic these days). I had to discard AION for a while to focus on my Videogame program back in College - but I'm tip-toeing back, hopefully. Especially since I left an ABG cleric just sitting here like a lump.

Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question, but how's the overall quality of GA after 2.5 patch? How's the economy in general now?

The section ain't that wrong i would post it in questions but since your post does not only contain a question , posting it in the G.Discussion doesn't look that bad!

As about your question... well , we don't have as many bugs as we had back in 2.5 , there are just those speedhackers , those players who edit their skills.pak and the scammers left i guess. (and perhaps some minor bugs that you will most likely never encounter)
The quality is uhm.. 7/10 i can say. And that because we don't have yet all of the functions working. Or it would be 9/10.
We need a few important things implemented so we can improve our gameplay. Like the arena in which you can do 1on1 fights instead of getting zerged in inggison/gelkmaros. Implementing that would make half of the players go there instead i guess! I don't know much about it yet however.

About the economy , well.. there was a kinah wipe , 70% of the total amount of kinah that the players had was deleted. (if you had 70b , you will have 10b now)
Oh and there is a cap for kinah now too , it's 10b (unless they changed it in the last few weeks in which i haven't logged in due to computer problems)
The economy is much better i can say. Oh and the //dye was changed to .dye and it now costs just 10 millions!

Ah yeah.. if you haven't logged in for 7 months , your account was deleted. Every 7-month inactive account gets deleted.

That's...quite the change. o.o Though I do think it's understandable as to why the Kinah rates would decline and cap - the gold economy was crazy and millions were nearly value-less. >_>

Erm. An...account wipe? Regardless of donations/whatnots? Wow. I suppose it's plausible, but... Ouch still. I suppose it's to keep the economy active and thriving. Not necessarily a bad thing. I'm glad to have not had mine deleted. 8[

Actually everyone that i knew was wiped back to ~2.1 bil no matter how much kinah they had, it definetly wasn't 70%.
The economics have been a tragedy since then and 90% of the server can no longer afford buying supplements to enchant their items. Speaking of enchanting from what i've heard people can't even get their new gear to +15 at all with the current enchant rates.

Next we got the lovely decission that dots applied before roots still break roots reducing the effictiveness of sorcers and spiritmasters (once) again.

Furthermore there seems to be something fishy with concentration as people are getting massively interrupted.

Edit: on the bright side, fear geodata is somewhat fixed.

 

The money for me is pretty easy to get i think.. never had troubles buying supplements or enchanting. And i am not sure about the 2.1 mil thing , i was told they took off 70% of the kinah and i couldn't remember how much i had before they wipe it i just didn't have 2.1 mils for sure , 2.1 billions perhaps?
As about the concentration and the DoTs breaking roots , did they break after some recent update? because the last time i played (about 3 weeks ago) it was working fine for me , and about DoTs , i don't know.. read this: Root and what breaks on it - AionSource.com - Powered by the Tower of Eternity and tell me what you think x_x

Yea my bad it was 2.1 bil, i'll correct it.

Also, most respones in that thread have it right:

"I think if dot is added before root it will not break after, as long as you don't apply any new dots. Orbs will break root regardless of cast order because of physical damage."

That's how its supposed to be but here roots will break even if dots are applied before roots.

 

Where to start?

Every other person has ABG. Either by donation or multivote, who knows.

People normally PvP in Gelk / Inggison nowadays. Heiron usually has ely zerg, belu has asmo zerg.

Nothing drops anymore except for basic mats / manastones. Want to get elder gear to extract? Too bad!

Enchant rates seem to be impossible (although a friend did get +15 on first try a few days ago.)

And we've been promised some kind of server transfer thingamajig that probably isn't going to happen.

 

1. You expect from new players to reach the old in no time? come on... most of the people who got abg have been playing for at least 3-4 months x_x

2. Ok i agree about the zergs , i mentioned about them too.. but that's aion , a stupid faction vs faction game

3. Enchant Rates are weird for some people , i don't know why... could be an item pak problem. For me , they're fine.

4. You mean the Server Transfer System? Well yeah it has not been implemented yet sadly , evilset said it will be soon , but look.. i'm sure not everyone will like it because of several reasons. Also it has to be tested in the test server too much to make 100% sure there won't be bugs like people having all stigmas in lumiel after being transferred xD
I'll ask him personally about it and i'll let you know. I want it too , badly ' , believe me.
