Why does this take so long ._.

So on friday I had a sudden urge to play Sims, never really got the chance to before

Anyway, between the base game and all the 9000 expansions it has, it was a 40 GB torrent. Combine that with crappy seeders and a billion peers, and yeah, it took until this morning to DL.

Extracting all the different expansions and crap took long enough as is since they're all like 4-6 GB each

So now I have to install all of these expansions separately, in the correct order, and they're all in ISO form so I have to extract them with an ISO program first, and again since they're all 4-6 GB each it takes forever

Then I have to do the normal installs - in the correct order or I'll have to start over - which takes a decent enough bit of time

Then I have to install all the crappy updates


GOD I JUST WANT TO PLAY, LET ME PLAY

um...heard of virtual drives? thats what ISOs r for, u mount it on a virtual drive to make it load as if it was a dvd without needing to extract it

I just downloaded The Sim3 in 30mins, mounted and it's boss

Hopefully I'll never need to reinstall them but mostly because if I screw up installing them in the correct order (which I shouldn't, but never know) then I'll have to reinstall the whole thing, I wanted to have them there just incase.

No worries, it doesn't take that long to terminate the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, I grew up playing Sims and it gave me insomnias at a very young age lol. Just don't have the time and passion for it anymore.

Make sure that if you patch it to 1.24 (for sims3) that you find the right no cd crack, I had issues with that t-t cause it just came out recently. :> and I use Alcohol 120% to load iso's

 

Yeah I think I had a few issues with the installation so reinstalling it now and using a different crack because of that patch e-e

 

If you're installing Sims3 i had no problem at all with mine, i thought you was installing the first Sims
