few minutes ago, bookshelf right above my bed has fallen down, had i been laying on bed i'd have been dead by now lol... i am starting to believe that there is fate and something called god lol O.O

 

and that god didn't want you to die =o!!

not sure a bookshelf is enough to kill u. anyways id call it luck rather than fate, coincidence rather than god

I try as much as possible to be faithful , however , whenever my mother says "god did this , god did that" i say it's a coincidence mom , and i make examples like yours. xD

If you ask me , what i'll tell you is: If a truck runs over an old man and he survives without a scratch (such weird things happen seldom) , then u can say it was god (if the truck surely ran over him and his body wasn't just between the two tires - under the truck , and he thought it ran over him coz he's old rofl.

But as you said , if it's something like "Oh god made the phone ring so i went to the kitchen where the phone was at and i saw the fire" then i'll say just be thankful to ur friend who called , you were lucky xD

But then again , they will say that god made that friend of yours call to save you for example.
You really can't know. So in my opinion , you must be thankful to god for everything , even if you're not sure if he really did it or not. You have got nothing to lose anyways i mean... expecially if you're an atheist.
