CPU and VCARD

    i have another PC whos Processor is AMD Athlon(tm) 64x2 Dual core...with 256 MB Vcard on it...

    im planning to change both processor and VCard...do i still need to change my motherboard?

    depends if the mobo can allow you to put on the dual core cpu and the vcard, some mobos can only allow certain cpu's or certain vcards to be inserted. So, best way to check is find out what mobo you have, google it, and see if you can put on your cpu and vcard onto it, i find that the simplest way

    is there any other way to check my mobo other than opening my comp???sorry for the question im noob when it comes to computer hardwares...
