There's so many different ways to play a Templar I don't know where to begin.. If you're playing on Lumiel then you're going to have to pick a tree, if Siel then I suggest you bind your weapon switch to a key/button that's easily accessible.

Lets get started with manastones. There's different manastone paths you can take, there's crit to do tons of damage with your greatsword, or there's HP/block (which is what I use on my plate set) which rewards a more defensive playstyle. I have no idea how you play or want to play a Templar, so picking which manastones you want to use is completely up to you.

As for skill rotations, it's really situational, as in if you're about to face a zerg you're going to want to use bodyguard on your cleric/chanter, empyrean providence, UD, shield of faith, aether armor, and holy shield initially. If you're feeling ballsy and have some DP jellys then you can pop your DP shield, and DP pull everyone to you then root them with punishing wave, this will ensure your teams saftey momentarily. Find the most threatening target and doomlure him, try to keep him in check with your CCs, while putting pressure on him with breakpower, pitiless blow, and other heavy hitting abilities. After your initial confrontation, assuming you have the attention of your foes, you'll want to soak up damage with your barricade of steel, this will essentially make rangers, assassins, glads, and other templars cooldowns a waste. After they're done with their burst/cooldown popping, it's your turn. This is when you pull out your 2h, use your empyrean fury and divine fury, and lay into your opponent, cycling through mace n board to make use of your knock down and stun.

If you're on Lumiel, someone that plays there would be better fit to answer your question.

On my templar i got Crit/Accuracy and Block.

I always found Attack stones so useless. Also don't ever go for an only one attribute, like full crit or full attack, cause that makes things even worse. You will find yourself with an attribute which is at its top, while having low rates on all the rest.

    Personally, i socketed Crit/Accuracy/Block.

My templar has 455 Attack with mace and 660 Attack with greatsword, unbuffed, while it has instead 2.573 Block and 2.530 Accuracy with mace (2.620 with GS) unbuffed, and about 600 Crit Strike.

    That's all you need:
    • Most of the melee classes don't get through my block and they hit like flowers.
    • I get through almost every enemy's Block or Parry due to my high accuracy, unless they're Block/Parry build.
    Basically:
    1. Tank their cooldowns.
    2. Buff up.
    3. Faceroll them.
I forgot to mention it's not the same with sorcs and sms, because these 2 classes are most likely the 2 most OP classes ever created in Aion.

Jesus i still hate NCsoft for having made such a big fail in creating sorcs and spiritmasters lol.

All block MS for shield and mace/sword, block/crit for greatsword. For your plates block/MR. It works for me, unless 3 or 4 gunners are on you spamming stun and silence skills. By the time stun is gone, you are dead LOL!
