    Was my milestone.

Today will be 7 months from the day I quit smoking cigarettes.

    Thanks!

I'm actually very proud of myself for this one. Straight up "cold turkey" for 7 months and haven't looked back.

After doing this for so long, I can honestly tell people; "If there is something you want to honestly do, and really put your mind to it, you can do it"

I was told this when I was younger but kind of lol'ed. Just because I was young and stupid. But after growing up and putting what I learned into action, I can tell everyone that anything you want is possible. You just have to try.

Sorry for the double post. I got ninja'ed xD

I feel great. I actually have asthma, which was made worse because of the smoking. But after quitting I can say that I feel 150% better. My sense of smell is waay better than before. My sense of taste is way better. I feel like a whole other person.

how did you end up starting smoking anyways?
    (pardon me if it's personal)

    -doesn't smoke, doesn't drink-

i heard from some friends (at least around here) the main reason you start smoking in early years is either friends or a little later on due the stress in army/job/family.. or just plain curiousity.

I dropped out of highschool in my Junior year so I could go to college. I started in the forensics program, which included many different computer science classes. Being years younger than my classmates I would be around them during breaks between classes while they smoked. Naturally I started, and it helped me deal with the stress of our work. 6 years later I told myself I didn't need it anymore.

well, that's a good reason to be proud.

    Thank you. =)
I feel like I've been here long enough, you can call me Nathan, as it's my real name.

To be honest. My experience has been more of a roller coaster. There have been times when it was --easy enough to be unbelievable -- There were times when it was -- hard enough to want to punch the next person who talked to me -- But in the end, I've been able to keep my mind "level" and remember what I started to do.

Some people might think what I'm saying is "out there" But after going through it, and still putting up with it, I can tell you all that nothing will make you feel better than accomplishing something that you might have thought of as "impossible".

That's nice to hear it! I stopped smoking as well and it feels great. May I know what steps did you follow? Any special treatment?

Congratulations! Keep it up! (Never ever ever ever ever even try to "sample" it again btw! That is a way many people completely relapse!)

I am impressed! Not many people can even do it!
