About Abg Set's

Well, I was noticing in the middle of pvp on the pvp and the set's normal, I got the same magic damage as set Abg mastarius set, then it means that pvp defense is not working for magic attacks?

I know magic attack is elemental damage, but the Set Abg should not reduce the damage received? Abg equals mastarius to magic damage?

someone get me through this doubt, this happens with you guys tbm?

actually...i never thought about testing that..would be funny if the def doesn't apply to mag dmg. Then that would explain why sorcs use to hit SO high.

 

ABG reduces both physical and magical damage taken. Tested + fact.

Just a note on pvp defence.
What Rokowo said was correct, though you might be failing to take into account the bonus from ABG weapons as well, which would effectively halve the bonus from ABG itself, being between 6.6-11% weapon dependant. And in full abg you have 14.8% On the set of armor itself (Not counting Shield 5.5% and Hats 2.2% which would bring the total to. 22.5% PvP Defence)

Now, if you take that into account and then go onto weapons for magic users.
Mace: 6.6% Attack + 13.2% from ABG accessory. This is on a Cleric. Now, if we say a Templar with no magic resist, gets hit by a cleric. Their PvP defence would be 22.5% Assuming correct gearing.

The cleric would have 19.8% pvp attack, counter balancing for the most part the pvp defense.
(It would leave an approximate 3.3% PvP defense or so showing to anyone who decides to run the numbers.)

So given that the defense does work for both, it would be a good bet that it is most likely being countered out.
