I think you got the things twisted here.
'Badass' would probably mean nobly sacraficing yourself for someone else in this case. But i'm not hypocrite enough to admit i would do so like everyone else here, i have the urge to survive and i promise you that anyone in such a situation will have as well.

 

I understand where the OP is coming from, the act of protecting someone and sacrificing yourself but the execution of the idea is poor.

 

I would not speed up like that with my GF, also i would not let her ride my bike without her wearing a helmet (apperently they had just one).

There's a difference between stupidity and "being a badass". Going 100 MPH+ on a bike with 2 people and having only 1 helmet isn't exactly the most "smart" nor "romantic" thing to do... If you're willing to put your gf's life at risk like that, then you really don't love her.

Well i may end up using the clutch or shut off the gas line but i would try using they keys to turn off the engine before all that
