problem :(

well I see this error at startup after updating

"You can not run aion With The version of directx Currently installed.
Requires the directx version aion released after-june, 2008.
Can you download the correct version from ........."

my computer has windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, so I have DirectX11

I wish I could help, nose if this topic goes here, if not here sorry

u need directx 9
google , download , install and restart ur pc :3

 

mmmmm trying to install directx 9, tells me I have installed a later version or equivalent

 

well go to control panel , remove it and install the good one

we all use this really

having 11 doesnt mean its "too new", they complement each other, they dont overwrite each other, 9.0c is needed to render games that were built on it, having just directx 11 is like having nothing, the game doesnt know how to use it ^^

 

i've done it but i still get same error - that i need directx version after june 2008. maybe i'm not installing it properly?? help?

 

i cant tell much without actually getting on the pc and trying stuff out. did u ever install directx 9.0c be4? did ur game run be4 this update? if yes then id say its just ur ncsoft/aion being confused. theres a directx related file in ur bin32 folder that could be causing this

u can try repair ur client, u can try grab some1 elses bin32 for aion 2.7

 

solve the problem, thanks to everyone who helped me fix it
I write now as settled, waiting to serve others

1 .- go to C: \ Program Files \ NCsoft \ Aion \ bin32 and delete the following file d3d8thk.dll (If another dll that controls directx, delete as well)

3 .- repair aion from the NCsoft launcher

4 .- Play
