Critical Cap

What exactly is the critical cap? I've been getting different messages from everyone.

 

ive heard of 540 and 440 when Chlora was here he said it was 540 but idk

 

Those are the two that I keep on hearing so I'm not sure which to believe.

 

450 was before.. now its 550

Unless you're talking about soft cap, but you never stated that.

I'll break it down for you.

1.5 soft cap = 440

1.9 soft cap = 540

Now, picture a bouncing ball, every time it hits the ground and comes back up, it has less and less force in it, eventually it'll die down.

So;
540 = 54% crit.

600 = 57% crit.

700 = 59% crit.

1000 = 61% crit.

And so on, but remember, those are my estimations. I've taken a look into the formula before so you can expect my guesses to be quite accurate.

 

softcap will always be the same : 440

But in 2.0 (might be in 1.9 idk) some gear has critical hit resist thing, wich means u need more crit rate to actually crit against that target.

 

That sounds like a conspiracy against assassins .

 

Anuhart and lvl 55 armor gets crit resist(Strike resist) when you +it

 

You need more critic rate since critic resist is implemented.
And everyone pretty easily to get 100 or above critic resist.
So, lets say you have 440 critic rate.
Your critic rate inflicting on other player will be : 440 - 100 = 330
Mean 33%.

 

440 =/= 44% -.-

Keep your crackpot theories to yourself people, or at least specify that you're making up the numbers...

Note: 1.9 patch RAISED soft cap by 100, it is 540 now.

Strike Resists do NOT lower your actual crit rate, it just lowers the damage your crit does.
E.G: 195 strike resist.
Opponent did 2k crit before.
Opponent does 1805 now.

That sentence will get you some teenagers maybe but you can be sure that the majority will say "no thx" .

I'll go with your answer because it looks credible. Yeah, I forgot to state that it was soft cap.
