It means that we've been rank 1 for a long time and people don't like leaving what they've worked for and sometimes paid for just to get some slightly better features.

Being rank 1 on a top 100 list is by no means a guarantee that the server is the funnest, stablest or best server in terms of source code. All it means is we have the population to keep ourselves at rank 1.

We've had servers with better features popping up since when I first joined, but they die without players. Its quite sad really.

I am happy to say ive been a member of this community since august of 2010(over a year), and When did i receive mod? About a month and a half ago. Do not make assumptions based off of post count or date.

The rank does mean something. When somebody google searches : Aion private servers.

What do you think they are looking for? A top ranked aion pserver of course. When that site pops up in the google search, do you think they are going to skip down to #150 and randomly join that one? Or do you think that they are going to go for the ones with a higher ranking and more population that is visibly clear.

and no. The rank means nothing about how good the server is, it means we had population and rank 1 faster than other servers and until this server shuts down we're going to be in the top 5 because population REALLY is that important to the top 100 list.

Sure, it means players will find us easier, but thats not what you were pointing out in the first place and don't even act like thats the point you were trying to make. You acted like our code was something special because we're #1, well...nope.

 

Did anyone know about you since August 2010? as far as I know no one in staff even knew you back then.

Ranking means little to nothing take the population of gamez+daily votes from all those players what do we get? high rank.

I've heard you on gamez vent and you know nothing about Aion so stop lying, you don't even know how to make the ascension quest and I was online in Gamez Vent when you asked how to do it, now if you've been playing since 2010 how come you don't even know how to do ascension quest really? hehe.

no offense, I'm just getting facts straight and these guy seems very promising exactly what we need at moment to get all this mess fixed, hell! he even has Retail experience and don't have to ask anyone for a video of retail come on man..

 

That test was appalling. Hand written java, leading to masses of scribbles and no compiler to weed out type o's and compiler errors, which we did get marked down for, as well as logic errors. The end of year test is just the same, except more extensive. Neither test should really be proof of my capability as they were all flawed. I strongly believe that the tests should be converted to to monitored practical development assessment, as this would provide far more accuracy over development ability. These marks are only here as there is literally nothing else I can do to show competence, apart from actually providing a java project based upon a given scenario a current developer sets. Even this has flaws as there is google.co.uk.

It's a free server and they're working whenever they can. You guys want them to do stuff but what kind of motivation is calling people bad? If I saw people calling my work bad I would simply just not do it. If you don't like how shit works here then leave. Fvck your negativity. Fvck your stupidity. INSULTING THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THIS SERVER IS THE LAST WAY TO GET THEM TO FIX IT.

Highly inappropriate, developer applications will be evaluated by management and our dev group, that is our responsibility - not conspiracy theorists and overly vocal bored posters and trolls.
