Question regarding Block Manastones

Does Block Manastones work even if you're not wearing a shield?

hahahhahahha NO u can blok only by equiping a shield.,parry with a sword dagger greatsword spear.... but i wanna know if u can evade both magical and physical skills...i tought u can...any ideas?

 

No.

Here's how it works as far as i know:

Your Shield Block Rate vs Your Opponent's Accuracy

If you got for example 1000 Block and the opponent has 800 Accuracy, you got 20% chance to block.
For every 100 Block Points you got above your opponent's Accuracy, you get +10% chance to block.
As about the cap, i am not sure if there is one.

Now the shields got a %Damage Reduction (e.g. ABG Shield has 50% damage reduction)
That means, if you succeed at blocking the attack, you will receive half damage.

ps: Use parry if you want to reduce the physical damage without a shield instead.

- Mace [aka. Warhammer]
- Dagger
- Staff

Dodge[Evade]:
- Depending on armor and buffs [evasion rate].
- Only for PHYSICAL attacks.

Resistance:
- Depending on armor and buffs [Magic Resist rate].
- Only for MAGICAL attacks.
