Aion [1001]

hey guys can anyone help me?
i can't run aion because of an error
it says:

Aion[1001]
You cannot run Aion with the version of DirectX currently installed.
Aion requires the DirectX version released after June 2008.
You can download the correct version from Aion Online: The Official Fantasy MMORPG Website

(sorry guys i don't know a site or a forum to share with this problem only here at gamez)

 

Start Official Launcher from Ncsoft rightklick on AION start game its gonnna download directX then after download and install close Official launcher and start with Gamez Launcher.

 

Try to open C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Aion\bin32 and delete the d3dx9_38.dll file (Keep a backup of it though, just in case that's not the problem.)

I downloaded directx manually and it didn't work e.e only deleting this file helped. I got directx 10 on my computer though by default, running vista.

ilanrobz, what operating system have you got? (Windows XP? Vista? 7?)

 

For me on Windows 7 worked well as i posted above so its hard to say if ppl not give more info .

 

oh. . . sorry sir it don't work but. . .i'm using win7 and i have directX 11 too i saw it on dxdiag. . . i was confused that i have directX 11 but this error is occurring. . .my computer is newly buy sir . . .

 

Did you try deleting that file? It worked for me. If it doesn't work, try to make a backup of d3d8thk.dll and also delete it lol
Everytime i had directx problems in a game, deleting the d3dx9_38.dll file worked o.o' dunno..
