Well, it seems they're releasing a lot more information on the new instances to come in 2.0, I myself can't wait for more information on the new instances and the rewards..

Remember, it comes out on September 7th in the U.S.

Aion 2.0 - Nightmare Instance

I don't remember levels 37-44 being my favorite levels in Aion and it appears that this solo instance will help to spice up those levels. Fresh from a Google translation of the Korean Powerbook, this new 2.0 instance is called Nightmare and it apparently involves some kind of romantic melodrama. Don't all nightmares start this way? I mean there's the half hidden brooding man, the sexy woman, and then... "How to position a nightmare". Oh wait... that's Google translate messing up again. My bad.

This particular instance yields level 38 armor, weapons, and accessories ranging from the orange weapons dropped from Carly to the blue Judges weapons and blue and green quality accessories and armor. Some of the text seemed to indicate that after doing one of the quests (Fragment's of Dreams/Blacksmith's Wish) 20 times that an item would be obtained that would upgrade the blue Judge weapons to a Kromede series weapon. The text literally said Judge weapon series plus croix of tears/flame equals Kromede series weapon. I'd very much like to see how this works as it wasn't all that easy to picture from the garbled Google translate text. This is the instance where the pet Rotan can be obtained via a series of repeatable quests.

There are 3 pre-quests for instance attunement and the location of the first pre-quest is shown below for both factions.

• Fake Stigma or Questionable Errands Quest: starts at an NPC at the Beluslan Fort for Asmodians and at the Heiron Fort for Elyos

Quests Available

This is an instance primarily of repeatable quests with 1 non-repeating quest and 4 repeatables. The shortest repeatable quest is done 10 times and the longest is 255 times. Both the Asmodian quest location and Elyos quest location are shown below.

The two quests of note for both sides are the weapons upgrade quest that must be done 20 times and the Rotan pet quest that must be done 15 times. The one non-repeatable quest sounds like a lot of fun as it involves summoning a Rotan for fighting.

Features of the Instance
​

A somewhat pictorial walkthrough of the instance is available. Much like Fire Temple, the end judge comes in a corrupt and regular form with orange weapons dropping only from the corrupt form of the judge. I'm including a link to the different kinds of judges and their drops. The mobs themselves range from a 5 star normal boss (regular judge run) to a 2 star elite (corrupt judge run). I'm unclear whether or not one can obtain corrupt judges on purpose. The following are some interesting images showing the overall look of the instance.
