to admin team about server restarts

i have read a lots or threads about server reboots,lags,crashes etc but i just want to say my opinion without wanna be noisy and create a discussion problem

in many servers I have play many years now the admins place a standar time to reboot server 2-3 time pes day,completly automatic without be online anyone from the gm team

this help the server to avoid crashes,lags and many errors that they are the most importand problem

dont u think that u must try that option of automatic server reboot 2 times per day between 12 hour delay

i dont know if that has been even post cause the threats are unlimited so and the talks in there

it doesn't matter, just fix all the problem, no need automated rebooting - in my opinion.
As you see other private server do not do so.
And normally crashes happen randomly, you can't predict when to reboot.
So let say, 12am automatic reboot, 1am crash, then we just have to wait until 12pm for next reboot, which about 11hours. So, still need carl to reboot it manually.

 

im sure that a server reboot cleans server traces an propably that operations gains time to avoid some crashes(not all ofcourse)cleans user data that cache at the server and prevent lags etc

im not a technician but other game server dont do scedules reboots for fun


and if u clean the server every 12 hours maybe(i say maybe) u avoid the crashes in the usual times

 

Actually, I don't think that'd be such a bad idea, an automated server restart.

Let's say it restarted every 12 hours, 9 am, 9 pm. (Pacific Coast)

Everybody would eventually know what time the server will get restarted and log off like 5 minutes before or something to prevent bugs, etc. rightright o;?

Just saying, I don't really care though. I don't mind what's going on right now, they'll fix it eventually.
