Screen freezes,what's the problem?

Greetings,i used to play quite normaly,without any crashes etc,but today for some reason whenever i log in after about 10-15 mins(seriously,not more) the screen freezes and i can't help it but close it(have tried to wait but nothing),this happened to me about 5-6 times and during all of them the screen froze after 10-15 mins from the moment i logged. What's causing it? Thanks in advance.

1. did u change any game files
2. did u update ur graphics drivers (or anything else)
3. is it in any way related to what u do ingame (like talking to the heiron flight transporter used to make me crash like half the time back then)
4. could u be more specific about what u mean by "freezes". just cant click anything and get the windows loading sign? do u get any error messages? what OS do u use btw

 

sounds different. what ur talking about is the packet drop since the 2.7 update that causes peoples ping to jump as packets have to be resent. what he said is a total freeze that forces him to close the client

 

and maybe dont have enough ram for running the game ? o.o

 

Either his GFX Card or Processor... unless of course his PC is really old and has like 1gb ram or smth.

 

neither, he said he played the game perfectly fine until today. a graphics card issue would also cause the whole pc to freeze, not just the game

 

No i did not change any files nor i updated any drivers. I don't think it has something to do with what i do in-game cause during all my attempts to 'play' i logged in with 3 different chars (to see if the problem persists).
I mean like,i'm walking and the screen suddenly freezes (like momentarily lag but forever ;p),however when i alt+tab and then try to get back in the game screen has dissappeared and instead there's just this plain black screen. I don't get any errors whatsoever.

I'm on Windows XP pro,Pentium DC E500 @ 2.50ghz, 2GB RAM and ATI Radeon HD 4350 graph card.

Although my pc is kinda old & crappy i'm quite satisfied with it,i haven't experienced any problems so far playing your typical graph needed MMORPGs. (I have also played Aion retail, Infinite aion private with no problems).

Actually i said i play quite normaly,my ping's rather high. ^^

But generally yeah,i play 'OK'. Like,i can keep up with a duel/pvp etc.

 

2 things u can try. the first is repairing ur client in case any of ur files got corrupted, the 2nd is reseting ur aions graphics settings be deleting its registry key (it gets recreated the next time u run aion and will be as when u first got aion so just change them to what u like)

to do that use start -> run -> regedit -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Aion -> Client and delete the SystemInfo entry

I totally forgot to mention something,most of the times the screen froze i could play normaly(i mean the music was normaly playing and i could hear if i was hitting a buff) but the screen was there frozen.
