l2 woc thread thing

I think people don't realize the real issue here.

#1: Playerbase is currently low. Anyone telling you otherwise is bluffing. It was low last year as well, but then it spiked in spring/summer (which then fell again around this time).

#2: These wings, while expensive, are most likely here only temporarily.

#3: What does that temporary chance of buying the wings do? Makes many people buy them really fast!

BUT (Oh, yes, did you think I was stupid enough to only think that? I am far from myopic my dear friends!) if it is not constantly avaliable then you will have trapped a fair amount of players in the "subpar" category.

I don't care to sift through pubmed literature, but this will DRAMATICALLY LOWER THE INFLUX OF PLAYERS.

Currently we are at an all-time low (oh, fine, with christmas holidays atm we might be kind of up there for a few days), and with this system the server as a whole WILL NOT RECOVER AS SOME PEOPLE ARE EXPECTING IT TO.

Essentially new players will be bombarded with the inability to get a "premium" item that will soon be considered REQUIRED for gameplay. You say I'm wrong? Research says I'm right. Infact, common sense alone says I'm right!

Now while the staff can sit with their fingers up their butt's and say "LAWL I GOT THEM WITH STAFF POINTS!" (By the way, you still never did end up giving me mine that I earned ;p)... YOU DO NOT MAKE UP EVEN 5% OF THE TOTAL DONATIONS INCOMING TO THE SERVER. Let alone make any major contributions money-wise.

So while you may sit on your high horses and ignore this, you're going to see gamez break in half due to this. You've now managed to deter new-blood as well as long-term players through this who will come back in a few months.

first - i already knew about the wings and the caps of all weapon, like mace, sword, spear, great e etc, if u looking for another posts about new stuff and etc, u will see me tanking about that something like 2 month ago.

Second - If admin or head-gm a new stuff and u or everyone, but what you want is for this to work properly, because you paid for it. If I remember correctly neither WOC lvl1 working in the first time, but they fix it, right ?

third - if I paid for something a little I want is for it to work properly.

i think the woc L2 is a 24-hour sale limited item only.

 

It seems safe to say that this thread has run its course, carrying on only facilitates unending repetition amongst a particular couple people.

We appreciate the fact that WoC2 wings are, for some classes, significantly effective. I personally would have preferred them not to be put on-sale at all however after some internal discussion within management we decided that a 24-hour unannounced availability period for Christmas would be the happiest medium. This was decided prior to their implementation yesterday.

We have no intentions of removing the wings already on the server at this stage although will be monitoring PvP to see how they change gameplay balance.

There are currently no plans for this item to be available for purchase again this year at this stage.
