Hm... Lemme think, but for now, anything but a Mac.

I've used from a few brands in the past and I can give you a very vague image from what to expect from each brand.\

These are just for laptops if you are looking for one.

HP/Compaq: a reasonably good price with decent specs however it's not THAT reliable and have a high failure rate
Acer: very low prices, but not the best quality, somewhat more orientated towards student use, though it has a large variety to pick from and the best ones are always in the higher end
Sony: a little pricey comparing it to others even the cheapest ones, however a lot of its laptops fall under the poewrhouse category
ASUS: quite decent, can be a little pricey and great designs
Samsung: hm... this one is a hard one, it is not one of the most well known names in computers in the western world, however the build and quality of the software is quite decent, I'm not sure about the pricing though
Dell: for its quite unreliable like HP and breaks down quite a lot, usually after 2-3 months of use, the hdd gets a problem
Toshiba: I haven't used these lappies a lot but they seemed quite sexy and and they don't crash a lot

And remember, do NOT buy an Apple laptop as they are pricey and a little heavy (not the MacBook Air one though, but its not towards gaming).

    Yeah how about that.

To be honest, I've never really bought or used a desktop PC.

Isn't 12 GB's of RAM too much? I mean it could be pricey for his wallet, I'm running on 8 GB's of RAM and its fine.

This was what I found, Asus - Laptop / AMD Turion™ II Processor / 15.6" Display / 4GB Memory / 500GB Hard Drive - Mood Indigo - K52DR-BIN6, This is the price range I was looking for.

Hm well, 4GB isn't going to give you the best graphics, if you really want to go with it make sure its upgradable to 8GB ram.

What exactly is your price range? Under 1000 US$

lol? wasup with the 4GB not giving best graphics? FYI , GPU (Graphics card) is the one that give u graphics not the RAM,
even u got 1000000000 RAM , and your video card is crap u cant play good.

my specs is only 4GB ram with GT 430 (only my ping hurts :D ) , i can play aion with high graphics, but ofcourse laggy on many ppol and zergs.

Maybe I said it wrong, I think what I meant was that with 4GB your PC can't handle a lot with high graphics and will be quite laggy. Yeah, that's what i meant. Thanks for pointing that out.
