False reporting should have repercusions too!

hello guys!!

Im acidshot and i recently got banned for speed hacking.

I got banned because i run faster than the reporter ambuslol.

facts in the video he submitted:

we have distance to start with
i have speed scrolls on.
hes running at 9.1 speed which is normal.
title is not provided/indicated in that video.
he back away in the end which shows me running farther and faster than him.

my proofs

im running at 9.3 speed since i have Arbolu's anointed title which adds 3% speed + crit3+mboost 8
in his report he said im running 20% more which i find funny>

this is my questions

Can he catch up with me when hes running slower?
How can i be banned when i can and should run faster than him?

should the reporter gets leeway for a clear false report?

if i have the arbolu's title + Speed potion + Charge(frome gladiator)...a noob thats watching me will report me for speed hacking? hahahah

 

We should encourage players to send in reports. Even if they are unsure.

I believe reports should get thoroughly, and have more than one person verify a hack before a ban is issued.

I don't believe in giving penalties for reports that don't turn out to be hacks.

 

To be completely honest with you. If we were to take action against all the false reports there are you would simply be amazed at how many people would be facing those repercussions.

And being people, they make mistakes in what they see. Normally if there is any doubt bans are looked at by multiple people, even myself I do get second and third opinions on things if I am unsure. Yet, still sometimes we make mistakes.

However, the fact that you are asking for something to happen to him? That would simply put a hitch in people reporting hackers because it would instill a fear of being wrong, and then instead of the hackers we already have to deal with would lead to more cropping up as others would be scared they were wrong.

So, yes, leeway for false reports is allowed. The fact that you were running faster, than a assassin who is in hide at 9.1 speed, should have been taken into account when the ban was issued as 9.1 speed is well. Basic when using sprinting in hide. If not he would have out run you.
