wow.. what an eye opener and really saddening knowing that we do waste so much food on a daily basis.

 

This is really sad =/ Makes one really reconsider how lucky they are, either living in a first world country or being born into a family that has the funds to support typical living expenses. We take so much for granted.

I grew up with my dad telling me to eat every shred of meat off the bone, every grain of rice; he would scold me if I left anything. He grew up in near poverty so he passed his morales on to me. I still waste food occasionally, but never to this extent.

 

Definitely teared up. It's sad because I've seen this firsthand...I went to the Philippines a few years ago. My mom and I were shopping in the market, there was this little boy and he was so incredibly skinny. I saw he had his eye on this vendor's box of fruit, I went over and asked if he was hungry and he didn't say anything, he just stared at me and it nearly broke my heart. I bought him this mango and I've never seen someone so happy before. And he looks over his shoulder and then back at me and I see his dad standing with his sister and they.. gosh, I don't even know how to describe it. I ended up buying them the entire box of fruit and 2 chickens :x

I wanted to cry when I got home. It's terrible when you see these things...yeah I helped one family but there's a million out there just like them. I want to help them all

I hate videos like this, they always make me tear up. They make me think of what I have and how ungrateful I am for it I throw money like its nothing and never feel bad about it. Videos like these open my eyes and show me how much I have and how much of an idiot I am for envying others.

This is really sad . I wish I could help them all, this really opened my eyes. I can't stand seeing people live that way, it breaks my heart.

 

I just hate this feeling and not be able to help.

I mean, yes you can help someone but just 1-2 times, but i would like to help more and i cant.

 

very eye-opener that video.. considering every 5 seconds 1 child dies of hunger somewhere in the world, while the rest of us prefer to ignore them and thats not the only wrong thing we are aware of .

on that video , sadly those where the people that political leaders lie on to about promises that never indeed happens.
poverty is really a cancer and corrupt officials makes it worse.

 

they're actually more sick than cancer... at least cancer has a chance to be cured...

the sad mofo will never be... and their seed will multiply.

 

its really sad and heartbreaking indeed, i almost cried when i saw that asian guys face expression how happy he was when he found some food, but what we actually do? we say, oh how sad, feel somehow guilty but in the next moment we go to restaurant, enjoy our delicious meal and we dont even remember those poor people.

 

That's the world we live in. It has been this way ever since... Life goes on.
