Toubles w/ GamezAION launcher and batch file

Hi peeps,

I'm new to Gamez and for the past 2 days I have been struggling to start the game. I'm not new to Aion and private servers however. So here are the issues (in chronological order) I've been battling w/, those that I figured out and those that I still have trouble w/.

1) GamezAION launcher was blocked and quarantined by my antivirus. I tried to add it to an exclusion list w/ no avail.
2) Downloaded the GamezAion.bat file. From there I could access to the game but I couldn't connect to Gamez servers. I had the: "No game server is available to the authorization server" window. Now, from the support page it clearly stated that this occurs when files are missing and you need to reloading the launcher. So I was back to sqr1, and tried to stop my antivirus from deleting the launcher, which (somehow) finally worked. Yiipii ^__^!!
3) However when I clicked the launcher a new window pops up saying: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file.You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item".
4) At this point I decided to check the Gamez's forum. Until now, I've been googling my way through this mess. I read threads that had similar issues to mine and did several thing since:

1) Repaired the client
2) Edited the batch file to

3) Restarted the system​

Nothing worked and I still have the same windows popping out.:sad:


So, I know I wrote a bit and I hope this isn't confusing anyone, but here some extra info that may also be helpful: I have Window 7 (32bits) and Kaspersky PURE R2.

Run the lancher as Administrator (right click-run as admin) or turn off your UAC (google turn off UAC "your operating system")
Give that a try and see how it goes.

A quick way to make sure that your client is fully ready is to launch the game from the NCsoft launcher once you get to the log in screen your set. I know your main problem is the launcher here though

I actually forgot to mention that my UAC is off and running the launcher as the Admin doesn't work either. :whistling: Sorry 'bout that. Thanks for the advice though. :smile:

Turn off your antivirus and firewall and see if that lets you run it

 

It's working! Thank you soooooooo much! But I do have one last question. Is there another way to start the launcher w/o disabling the firewall and antivirus?


Edit and update:

I've figured out how to change the firewall's filtering rules and the launcher is now functioning perfectly. The question above can be ignored.
