Is paypal gone?

Hi guys,

I saved some money to make a donation and realised that the paypal option isn't showing for me. Is it gone or it's just a bug? Cause i don't live in the US and paypal is the easiest way for me to donate.

P.S.: i tried to use the search but didn't find nothing related to the matter, if i'm repeating the post just nevermind.

I did that also. it takes freaking 3 days and is annoying as hell. I wouldn't use western union though. I heard waaay too many horror stories from that company to even consider using it

seriously, you won't believe what happened to me, i put the wrong amount to donate earlier, so i clicked the back button on my browser to correct it. Then the website asked me to wait 6 hours to donate again. I cursed myself for being so stupid and wrote a mail to the admin begging to see if there was a way around my mistake, now i tried again to donate and saw no paypal option.

Aw f**** me, what a day...

 

Bravo, lol. A relief in my opinion. I know it sucks guys but there was major abuse of paypal going on. People using fradulent accounts and spamming 20 payments. Which all had to be handled through paypal. I spent 6 hours yesterday doing nothing but replying to messages.

I don't get paid enough, hell I don;t get paid anything. lol.

I tried my best to help carl but by that time paypal had already frozen my account as well.

Western Union it is.

Wow, some people really hate you guys. But just an FYI, i don't think you can dispute through a fradualent account (meaning they were 20 different legit people) and Western Union has been known to be RIDICULOUSLY (corrected) insecure, so that will thin your donations. But thats just a FYI. IMO, its better to not get as much money vs owing paypal a bunch every month.

It doesn't cost anything, refund the money is free, no it was the exact same person 20 times in a row at 25$ each. Paypal flags the transactions and notifies the owner of the account. Real, stolen accounts, not fraudulent, just used in a fraudulent manner.

Happened a few times. It's just a pain to go through each one and reply and refund etc.

I don't think it's hate so much as people trying to exploit the system and get free stuff. It happens all the time, you can buy lists of stolen accounts from places.

Well, enough refunds cause you to freeze your account which means you will then be unable to get donations. and I guess I misunderstood. Either way

paypal=safe

western union= extremely unsafe.

so that will hurt donations a lot imo

Horror stories about people losing everything by using western union. It is far from secure.

Honestly I don't even care anymore, it's not like I'm making anything off of it.

Western Union is safe if you have the administrative staff check transactions and making sure you get your stuff. Alas ...

True , western union is safe , i donated money from western union , and all worked correctly =)

I dont think this was meant with "being unsafe". I think it means that WU is too easy to hack. Transfer may gone right, but maybe you get a lot more transfers soon :unsure:

and sooo many more. It is quite unsafe actually. I'm just pointing it out as someone who shops online often and as a business man. Point is, WU is not something you should be FORCED to use. Thats plain stupid and wrong. And you donated because you did not realize the huge risks it carries. But some people do, and will refuse to use it.
