Free Flight?

Aaah Hai guys Look I am completely new to the private server thing, Isn't it wonderful? ^_^

Im getting the hang of things, figured out how to use the commands, just one thing that I have to ask and I't is a total 'noob' question and as such people have not been helpful on global chat. . . heh

How do I free fly in any area? When I leave the area fortress zone my ability to fly becomes unavailable just like it does on the original version of the game. However im sure I have seen whole packs of people free flying, up and down all over the place, even in starting areas.

Would someone be so gentle and loving as to explain how to do this? :w00t::whistling::w00t::love:

Yeah I thought my issue was bizzare because ppl over chat thought I was brain dead and was not seeing the flight button, meanwhile it was simply grayed out.

get the gamezaion System.ovr from the launcher
replace the original.
C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Aion

 

I have the same problem and no, reinstalling the gamezAion launcher do not work!:sad: any suggestions on how to get it work? works on my other computer but not on this one. I have tried copying the aion folder and just put it on this computer but then I get an error instead...
plz someone, help

P.S. will doing this make it not possible to play the original game? I still want to be able to log on there occasionally to say hi to friends.

I'm sorry I'm a bit challenged but also new to this, where do I find the System.ovr file? When I bring up the gamez aion launcher it does not have any options to download files.

If anyone else has information on how I can fix my 'free flight' mode please help <3

 

I've seen people with same problem, I had it too but I got it working and I even helped few friends. So here I'll tell you what exactly to do: Go to root folder of Aion (ex: C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Aion) then search for a certain file: system.ovr, double click it and then a window should pop up asking you with what to open the file, open it with notepad. You'll see there this:
Error
ng_freefly = "1"
Here is what I've done: I've deleted the "Error" and then replaced ng_freefly = "1" with g_freefly = "1" and that's how its done. Simple, isn't it? I hope I helped

Edit: If you can't find the file, open up the NC Soft Launcher, right click on Aion and then click on: Repair (Consistency Check) and wait till its repaired.
