I love how people bash on facebook because it's crap or they have real friends ಠ_ಠ

My friends are half a globe away, and I don't have much money to buy phone cards and talk to them daily.

Well, in order to be honest Facebook is doing good and bad at the same time. For example:
- It connects people
- It makes people to be addicted to it


IMO, it's just another way to control us but let's not get into the details of what the FB is and what it's not. I understand that some people have made their choices not to be a part of the FB community , but there is no reason to flame the network and the people who are members of it.

This thread is about the type of the FB users. If you are not a user of the FB network then gtfo and keep your comments for yourself. Yes, this is how it feels when you are outside one network, so quit trying to add your 2 cents where it's not needed.

More of a Big Brother system if you ask me. People are just keeping an eye on each other rather than keeping connected. Even though I know hundreds of people, I rather just add the guys I had a proper social relationship with rather than just a mere introduction encounter (the hi and bye 'friends'). I just update it when I do a new recent artwork, other than that... Nothing else matters.

 

Yeh, but you can also find your childhood friends on FB so it's not completely useless. Personally I had to make a FB account due to communications reasons as a leader of a student political party at my school, but since I never could delete it, so be it. It's fun at times to troll friends and get trolled xD

Edit: I used to have like nearly 1k friends, but then I just one day kicked them all and kept only people who I can get along with and with whom I can actually chat ^^; Currently I got 69 friends and my co-workers now call me anti-social xD But I choose to share the few moments of my life (because I rarely post stuff about my life or my pictures since you know... there are eyes behind the scripts) and I'm totally find with it.

PS: In order to completely delete the FB account, you need to request it from the FB management, and also all the files with your reference on their database in a CD.

Do you know what makes me lol hard at FB, twitter and the rest networks? The fact that people who are forever alone, they actually pay companies that offer friends and popularity for $$$. They pay money to be someone on FB, that they can't be in real life. Kinda reminds me of the Second Life @_@ lmao..

 

Damn 1k friends? That must of been a time consuming crack down. Lol.

I only made facebook because it was part of a university additional add on course project, had no choice or I'd fail. Still did >.>.

I have few friends in facebook... and I dont see it as anything else than a place where i can talk with some people that for several reason I cant see normally... so it has a purpose, + the fact that I only add people that ask me to in real life or for some other reason, and all i post can only be seen by friends... (plus if i dont talk with that person in more than 3 months i delete the contact

Anyway, facebook its an application and everyone should be free to use it as they see fit... I dont see a reason to bash other because of it.

I didn't really care in the end, It's not an important course and I don't intend to stay in university anyway.

I use the phone in these cases or skype at least. Usually if you don't really get to talk/see a person on a regular notice, it just shows the relationship between the two of you isn't really that close.
