I just started playing on lumiel. Its fun how incredibly fast you lvl and all but wtf kind of broken concept is this. Everything in the broker including stigma shards are hundreds of millions of kinah. I'm lvl 55and wearing 14 day lvl 35 gear because I cannot afford one thing. Now I know items drop very often which would seem to make up for the prices..just grind a little and save up, but there is a kinah cap like on retail!!?? Why. I'm already not enjoying myself because I'm lvl 55, I can't kill any player and can hardly kill mobs my own lvl because of my gear... how am I supposed to get anywhere. All I've got is a bag filled with crap I can't sell.

 

True.. I dont really know what are the devs thinking,this server is not newbie friendly..

 

This server has never been really noob friendly (well it kind of was at start of the server) but it's just terrible now. I would really love to know what they are planning to change that.

 

Sadly that's why you need to do instances with good and fair people, also find a helpful legion that will asked you to do instances.

Till then keep voting until 3.5k credits, go sell the credits for armor and weapon by promoting it in LFG or forum, by using the 2k credits for trade and the 1.5k to buy vip, so it called 2k vip credits.

 

Yes I'm figuring I need to do instances but was wondering what kind of BT group is going to take me to along with them in this gear...I really think it'd be much better if they just remove the kinah cap or seriously boost the kinah from mobs. On a similar note about instances...why doesn't anyone que for Dreging?? Or arena for that matter

Is there anything still soloable that I can do for gear? Lol I would love to be able to 1v1 some instance boss. Everyone vote to revoke the kinah cap!!!!!

 

Dred is bugged,
There is only one quest working.
Mobs for medal quest are not in there
AP rate is like retail
So there is no interest to go in dred.

Arena is bugged
You don't get rewards
and even if you can get rewards the npc has been removed, so you can't get Coliseum equip.

 

Dredgion is working for all intensive purposes. Just seems people don't happen to like PvPvE. The mobs do drop their loot =)
(Of which I remember a fair amount of complaints that dredge wasn't working in the past, odd how..it isn't used?)

The, Arena PvP Was implemented with the test arena's which as said above do not provide Courage Insignia. However they do work and can provide some relatively interesting pvp experiences. Yet, the npc were removed due to bugs with those as the Stately, Divine, Noble, Coli Champ Equipment is for credits only during the special shops which we have though out the year at some times.

To the other issues about the kinah rate being low from mobs, and the kinah cap. I can't answer that really as when I started playing this server Kinah was a litteral joke. I had something around 3.5 trillion and since then found little value in having kinah at all. Yet, still we are aware of how it is for new players to start playing here. As for what is on the table for helping with that? Not honestly sure, though I do think I will bring it up in discussion later on in the evening when I have more time to.

After-all, if we retain players early on it is better for us, and the server as a whole.

Yet, for you? I would suggest possibly doing the L30 Daevaion quests for at the very least a L30 Set (with set benefits), farm some (I believe level 40 manastone cap on that off hand? ) manastones, and try to get yourself about level 55-59 enchantment stones to get to at least +10 on it.

The quests are really simple, and attaining level 30 to start them (on 5 diff chars as you get 1 peice of armor per character, and you can even change it to another set after at the NPCs if you choose to play something else). Though the weapon quests aren't the easiest. I do know the level 25 Fabled weapons drop from mobs that should drop them.

No. These are not the 100% Best options available to you for being level 55. However, they will provide you something that is useful. Also, you can do the Miragent Quest Chain and Fenris Quest Chain, to get Miragent / Fenris set as well (last I knew the weapon quest was being fickle so it may or may not work as needed). Those would be my best suggestions to you for getting gear, at least as a start to manage getting a group for LUT / UT / Besh / DP.

I am sorry, that there isn't a simple answer to this problem however, if anyone has any sensible suggestions you are more than welcome to send me a PM with it and a rather GOOD explanation as to how it would effect the server, and current economy, as well as help with new player retention and such. I wouldn't mind entertaining decent ideas that aren't all fluff and grandeur that will be shot down with out second though.
