What's your favorite thing about Aion?

As a game, not as a community.

Personally, for me, my biggest attraction to this game is a character customization. It's probably the best I've seen anywhere. Also the sheer amount of weapon/armor variety.

It's weapon and character customisation for me as well. Also, the cinematics and Legion Capes and uniforms, unlike most MMORPGs.

Honestly, I think this game is pretty underrated by the Western Hemisphere.

Hm for me it would be the gameplay. Its awsum and the PvP is sometimes just great if its fair ofc.

 

Graphics, skills, UI - honestly other games seem much more shallow and poor compared to Aion ^^

the whole concept art design of the game, backgrounds, locations, monsters, weapons, armors, characters, races, etc, etc, etc.

 

Personally, I like the fact that skills can be chained into the next one for added effects.
Sadly, I don't like how heavy the game is on graphics especially when it comes to having giant battles.
My framerates drop drastically, but oh well, that's what makes this game beautiful in a way.
The moves are flashier than any other MMO that I've seen.

Also, this game is the only one that I know of that utilizes aerial combat (FlyFF doesn't count).

 

Perfect World does. No where near as good as Aions.

 

aions flight pvp isnt good thats why the abyss is dead , fligh sucks for melee sooooooo you now have sorc/sm/rangers trying to hit silence first , best ping wins the fight .It may look amazing and all that but its just a horrible mechanic , on topic tho what i liked about it was the graphcis (in 2009 those were the best for an mmo , now nearly all mmos got better/same graphs) + i dont understand what people like in char customization , just look at the ugly character contests D: cant sleep at night cuz of those hideous abominations

Dont be so judgemental. What you are just seeing of the char customization, is what the community makes of it... not what the game intents to. At the same time thats the beauty of it... freedom to look in game as you like.

 

it belongs more in the "game" zone than the "community" gw2's char customization is wider and more detailed yet there are limits so you dont have to see a random beer-bellied gnome with a 2m wide afro running around

well 98% of the time the fugly chars are wannabe trolls or random spammers + (tho we dont have them here) its a real killjoy for the RP'ers no ?

 

The accessories, and costumes! Never in a game have I had more hats to choose from! Or dresses to wear! Ahmahgawd.

I'm no queen like Corruption, but I still have a respectable wardrobe.
