While I am an Atheist, I couldnt find a better expression for this..

Real time demo running in a PS3.. not a pre-rendered CG. Its not perfect, but the uncanny valley feels very far away. I am impressed, in all my years working in tv, cg, art, being a serious scifi reader and all the science books i have read... I knew that this will eventually come... but seeing it, I cant express it how impressed I am.

And the story/script... well, see it for yourselfs...

Watched this some days ago on Gametrailers and its amazing how i care more about Kara in 5 min
then i had for any video game character in a very long time.

hope they day can integrate this in to a game story.

Its a tech demo showcasing new face, voice and expression capture system thecnology, integrated in a new game engine being developed, its not a game, it wont be produced into any media version at all. The results and success of this new advancement, will be used in new games that will come. This is only a small view of the shape of the things to come in the future.

I do wish ALL Games could be as amazing with character development (5 minutes I was like WTF NO!!!!!!!! DONT YOU Bleeping dare!)

But honestly, amazing what a real time demo on the ps3 can do.....utterly...amazing it was able to render in real time x.x;;
I remember the Ps2 had graphics close to first gen Ps3 games, near the end of it's life and from what I remember they never even touched the most of that systems capability.....soooo just what does my little black box have in store...

It was very moving, and in a few minutes you care about her more than anyone else you've seen in a game, movie, etc.
