Need Tanky Chanter Build

Well as i said i just want defense,if i want to kill someone i can simple log on my cleric and kill anyone i want. I want to try the defensive chanter experience,i wont be wasting manastones for crit.

I'd always keep the mace and shield if you're tanking.

You'll find yourself switching mantras more than weapons. I'd keep a few out to swap in and out of at all times like hit, invincibility, shield, stun resist, celerity, the hp one, mp one, and the elemental one.

Juubii has little to no FPS lag, a very high end computer but unfortunately very distanced from the server.

 

I dont mind ping,my ping is 194 usually,goes up to 300 rarely and thats when i stop pvping til its back down. You can have decent pvp results with 3 digits ping. Im mostly interested about the build and the equips. Or i ll just give up chanter cause even though im just really new to it,it seems that i cant handle fighting vs physical classes..

 

For me Chanter with full attack ms leather set(EGT set or ABG set if you have) and your staff w/ full crit ms is enough to kill and survive but you should know how to handele your chanter in every situation.

They tried, but they still couldn't manage to kill me to due how well I kitted them. If I do manage to get in a state where I cant move at well, I turn on my defensive buffs on and heal, hence the reason I keep the recovery stuff for myself in these cases. Make sure you got the highest alternative MR build too, in case majority of them are sorcs/sms. The only major thing that did get me killed is when I couldn't move due to either knock back or stumble lockdowns, unfortunately the p server I use to play had those being able to stack, so I generally don't fight 2-3 glads at once (I was literally in knockdown state for 12 seconds, was ridiculous, they used every single kd they could, including their dp skills).

 

normally UD/Ankle Snare is enough vs Chanters in 1vs1. but gamez -.- it takes all your dp skills knock everyone down first... lol.

 

Yes, normally. But majority of the chanters I came across, have been severely ​bad at using it.
Glads would be best at using the Athena greatsword with 50% of the stones accuracy to kill me, even then it still is slim. I really am focused on those healing over time skills/pots. Best have a combination of knowledge, gears and ping.

When I either use templar or glad, I don't use the attack buff skills till they used up their instant healing abilities. So doing that would help against our kind.

As a chanter, I mostly am concerned about Templars, I really just try to keep my hp up as high as possible. Breakpower and RNG is nasty.

I was thinking, if there is one thing I've never seen in Aion, is a chanter as a Governor. If I do see one, I must fight him, gov rank doesn't say they're good, but seeing a chanter as one, it must be worth the try out.

Yeah as a support user style it is hard. When I am offensive I just use Crit/Accuracy/Block (with buff and mantra). It helps vs them knowing when to use the mace/shield. I'm sure it is really hard because you got full stigmas too, I've never tried that before.

 

Defensive set means u should use mace-shield all the time.. parry is pretty useless since u have buffs for that..

so u should go 2k mr and rest go for block + play with defensive mantras
