snare

well my theory is

when a sorc get snared if he use blind lip the ankle goes away

when a sin get snared if he uses flash of speed the ankle goes away

well my question is:

if when u use any kind of movement the ankle snare goes away
why when u get doomlured it keeps with ankle snare?
it works this way in retail?
i mean ure rooted and someone kind cut u from where u were and imo ankle should go away :S

 

Flash of Speed IYou move 10m forward instantly, and all immobilization and movement speed reduction debuffs are removed.

That's what in aiondatabase says.

so it should remove every movement debuff that was used on the target

 

my question is not about flash of speed ^^ that was just an exemple
my question is about doom lure
it pushes u so it kinda ''break'' the roots
i would like to know how it works in retail

and when u get debuffs in movement speed.. and doom lure its supposed to remove it.. blind leap also..

But since i don't play retail i can't promise what i say is true

On retail Ankle Snare cannot be potted or removed. The only skills able to remove it are gladiator's Strenghten Wings and templar's Prayer of Freedom.

Blind leap is not supposed to remove it, it's clearly bugged. On retail if you blind leap while ankle'd, you will just port back 15m, and still be rooted.

What about when u are ankle snared and a templar doom lures you ? in retail

Um no. It will be removed with ablind leap. That's why the skill says restores full mobility.

Skills able to remove ankle snare:

Flash of Speed
Blind Leap
Illusion
Natures Resolve
Earth Spirit Spirit Wall
Prayer of Freedom
Iron Skin
Strengthen Wings
Dispel
Templar's 4k Shields
Splendor of Purification
Ripple of Purification

 

They'd love it Fanta, too bad that it cannot be potted. Not even Greater Healing Potion can remove it. =P

Only Strenghten Wings and Prayer of Freedom will restore your movement when you're ankle'd. And if you get pulled, you will just get pulled and still be rooted.

 

Oh and at the original poster, doom lure does not break Ankle Snare on retail.

 

when i was ancle sneared i removed it with greater healing.. wtf

I can even remove clerics WoD with greather healing o.o

gonna test it again later maybe it was something else and not my pot cause i got zerged when i did that ..

thats lame thats just like u knockdown a target and it stay on midair state

 

Pots can't remove it. It's possible you got rooted by another snare like Tendon Slice or Root and just potted that.

It does .

 

Woah i'm definitely not updated on that. I still remained so far back in time on Retail, when that skill was so OP that no one was able to get rid of it. But yeah, now that i think of it, it was like back in 1.9 so lotsa new skills came out, indeed.

u used to be able to pot ankle snare away. ever since a update about 3 weeks ago u cant remove it along with the rangers shackle/shock arrow. ankle should be removed with pots otherwise its op as hell without having a remove immobilze or cleric in the group.
