i use camtasia instead, put fraps video in the camtasia and convert it to HD video, it will have less size and better quality :3

Thank you for the guide. I have a question. Does running fraps in a separate hard drive makes your computer less slow when recording? For example, I ran fraps in Computer A through Network Places using Computer B, and opened up Aion and started recording. Does it make less slow? I'm running Aion in 60 FPS and it drastically goes down to 20 FPS when recording. Does separate hard drive solve the problem?

 

No it does not. Fraps taxes your Cpu and Video card, not so much your hard drive.

 

Does running it on separate computer helps?

but is that only can be save as AVI? like i want save it as MP4 or the other format.. can i do it with VirtualDub?

 

Unfortunately you cannot. VirtualDub only supports saving as AVI.

and what is the best format for video? I think for music the best format is ACC right?

 

i beg to differ the uncompressed fraps vid takes a ton of harddrive space, several gigs in notime, that much writing actually can lagg u up pretty badly. i have a virtual 8 core processor, aion cant use all of them so fraps doesnt slow that down. fraps is CPU and harddrive intensive, graphics card doesnt matter

grab wondershare video converter ultimate in the past i bought their dvd to iPod and video to iPod converters coz they were designed for mp4 conversion, but as the codecs changed over time and it became outdated i moved to this one, it allows u to convert from pretty much any format to any format, high quality and has preset resolutions for all the types of phones and devices out there so u can convert directly for that device (around same file size but WAY faster conversion when u convert in lower resolution to match a mobile phone screen)

well actually i can give u the full link with a keygen there was supposed to be a free update for the ones i paid for and they changed their website and theres no reference in my account to ever having bought it >.> got fedup and got a cracked one xD

they actually dont even check online, they use an algorithm that converts any email to a serial key so as long as the serial belongs to that email it accepts it xD

 

I use total video converter does the job well,even though i dont record with fraps,its too heavy while recording it makes the game lag,bandicam is much better.

As an alternative, you could always just record with fraps and then upload with Windows Live Movie Maker. That's what I do anyways.
