Well I've been trying to find something to use for my legion, and as we all know, free things are a huge bonus.

I've not had any luck finding anything, Skype can only hold ten in chat, however it's laggy to hell and back.

So can anyone give me some hints or sites for free servers like vent/teamspeak?

    Thanks in advanced.

before our legion got Vent, we used skype since the sound was good and clean. but got crowded fast since of the cap.
and also everyone was not a fan of the open mic.

another thing we used for a verry short time was dolby axon, https://axon.dolby.com/
the quality is amazing and is worth checking out imo.

other then that Vent is probably the way to go. never used TS, so cant comment on that

    I thought you have to buy a server to use vent? o.o;

I currently use dolby axon with my friends and so far it's been great. It's as if you're literally in a room with other people. I'd definitely recommend it.

We could try mumble. I think it can hold 15 users for free. Not sure tho.

    Vent - **** that

Mumble is good and free to a certain extent, TS3 you can find public servers and some let you get a perma channel.

EDIT: My mate is part owner of a competitive gaming organisation and a good friend of mine and they host a 512slot TS3, I may be able to get him to let us use it :)

EDIT2: Well that was easy :D - I'll try and get it all sorted asap

Technically, you can make a "free" Mumble server in which you have a dedicated computer be the host server.

Anyways, I always prefer using Mumble over anything else because of the nice overlay in games and the attenuation of all volumes (instead of having to manually adjust everyone's volume as in Ventrilo).

The prices for Mumble servers are:
    10 User Server $1.45 / Month
    15 User Server $1.66 / Month
    25 User Server $2.66 / Month
    30 User Server $3.19 / Month
    40 User Server $4.29 / Month
    60 User Server $6.39 / Month
    100 User Server $10.68 / Month
    150 User Server $16.02 / Month
    200 User Server $21.36 / Month

    Just thought this would help.
