Aion Downgrade

So i followed the downgrade setup now my game doesnt even work for normal aion... install downgrade i got directx error tried every soloution on the downgrade page... repaired aion... still getting directx error... downloaded different downgrade... directx error... and i have the latest version of directX... any solutions

 

u do know latest directx means nothing right? 11 doesnt help u when the game needs 9.0c. there r 2 possible causes for this, 1 of which will definitely work

1. install directx 9.0c
Download DirectX 9.0c (Jun 10) - Download - FileHippo.com
extract, run dxsetup.exe, restart ur pc (some people just extract it and think they r done, u have to run the setup manually)

if that doesnt work, its caused by dlls in ur bin32 folder, some r directx related

2. delete everything in ur bin32 folder except for aion.bin and repair the client. try start the game to make sure there is no error. if there isnt, apply the experimental downgrade (do not delete ur bin32 folder, just overwrite what it asks for). if it starts doing it, delete the bin32 folder and replace it with the 2nd downgrade folder (specifically says used for fixing directx errors). the 2nd downgrade never works on its own, it doesnt have the data.pak in it. so yea if the 3rd downgrade gave u the directx error then without repairing apply the 2nd one

 

after u repair ur aion launch it to see if it gets to the login screen. if it does then take the bin 32 folder from the downgrade and put it in the aion folder(do not delete the bin 32 that is in the aion folder) let the comp replace the files when it prompts. same thing goes for the L10N folder. make sure the version doc says 2.7.0.0 or 2.7.0.1. Then launch gamez and it should work
