BSOD's give you a code when they come up (0xB, 0x7 etc) (usually has more zeros but use X to shorten) Providing that would go a long way to potentially answering your question :p If your computer instantly restarts try googling a guide to make it so your windows does not automatically restart on blue screen.

    BSOD?

that will always happend with the specs you got.. even if you fix some drivers or softwares, in the future, you will experience the same problem.. ur OS is even outdated, winXP home edition is not so ideal for gaming.. although some of your specs are good enough for Aion, still, everything should be perfect.. or else your computer will suffer

never seen audio drivers cause a bsod

thats so not true lol. his specs r decent and a LOT of poeple here still play on win xp. its not caused by his specs or operating system

most BSoD on operating systems r caused by graphics card drivers and there was a geforce driver quite some time ago that caused BSoD with aion. if anything, id say clean install the graphics driver (though not the latest one, people reported issues with aion and the very latest geforce drivers)

first of all, do u only get BSoD with aion? or when you do anything else as well. the cards in the 200 series had a few issues, had to apply a manual fix (i did too, i have gtx 260m). anyways heres the fix if u wanna try

    1. Download the latest version of RivaTuner here: RivaTuner

    2. Install RivaTuner and Run the program.

    3. In the Main tab, click on the arrow next to Customize under Driver Settings to bring up more options then click System Settings (the first Icon)

    4. In the Overclocking tab, where it says "Force constant performance level" select performance 3D.

    5. Click apply, and reboot the system when prompted.

If for some reason the "Force constant performance level" drop-down is grayed out you will need to go to the "Power users" tab in the initial RivaTuner window. Then click on the "+" next to "RivaTuner \ NVIDIA \ Overclocking". Look for "EnablePerfLevelForcing" and under Value type 1. Click apply, this should allow you to modify "Force constant performance level." Finally, follow steps 3-5 above.

this isnt overclocking, all it does is make ur graphics card run at a constant performance rather than constantly switching. see if this helps, if it doesnt u can switch the setting back

Win XP professional is way better.. but I don't think its still available in the market.. he can check in the event viewer what seems to be the problem if he cant comprehend the information during BSOD..

"Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional are essententially the same operating system, except that Windows XP Professional includes a few more features:
Windows XP Home Edition Comparison Guide Windows XP - Microsoft Windows

If I were you, I would continue to use Windows XP Home Edition unless you have specific needs to use the addtional features included with Windows XP Professional."

as stated by a microsoft employee on their own forums
    XP Home Vs XP Pro

the link is no longer valid so heres an updated comparison between starter/home/pro/ultimate (click the feature comparison tab)
    Compare Windows - Microsoft Windows

the only real advantage of pro is more languages options (like anybody actually switches that), more networking features (most people dont even have a home network) and remote access

so ye, please get your facts straight
