i just want to ask if this work:

i have a char and i change named it for the 3rd time .. then i want to use back my old 1st name... then when i try to change name it say it alrady exist.. so i ask some friends and mate they said u have to delete your char so u can use the name again.. then i just realize what if i make char in lumiel and trasfer it to siel and delete so that that char with the name that i whant to use be deleted and wont exist.. i dont know if it work or what b4 i waste a 2.5 cred trying it .. i want to ask some of yuh if it work or what ^^ ..

 

As far as i know you have to wait until the server restarts for the old name to unlock.

 

what server restart u mean ? like 3.0 or server down then they restart?..

 

Restart as in, maintnence restart, Not restart as in like, Wipe.

Are you sure someone else didn't just take the name then? That is always a possibility.

 

If you transfer your name will have '_UNK' and be given a name change ticket.
When I delete a character and want to reuse that name afterwards, I just restart the client, create, then name it.

Er, honestly? You would have to delete the character itself to have the previous names unlock. I have a char that is with the same issue. Even if you transfer it. Will have the _UNK tag and possibly still end up with the name being bugged as for previous ones.

It's slightly annoying I agree, and as for a solution? Just have to delete the char and remake it with the original name should work.

 

^This, when you want to use the name of the character you just deleted just restart your client or even just switch between servers when you get back the name will be usable again.
