Issue with Launching Game

Hello there. My issue is that when I start the Gamez Aion Launcher, it first shows the image of the Logo followed after a bit by the NCsoft logo on a black background. After that, the game apparently crashes or self terminates or whatever. Either way, I cannot gain acccess to anything farther along than that.

I have made sure to exit the NCsoft launcher when I use the Gamez launcher and I know that the game is updated to 1.9.0.3. I have run both the Update and Repair functions in the NCsoft Launcher and I still get the same issue.

Now, I have poked around and it is to my understanding that the server apparently crashed today. Is that the reason why I cannot go any farther or is it something else? To add a bit more information, the STATUS area in the bottom right corner of the Gamez launcher says Online in green letters. Is this a misleading message?

Any and all helpful advice is appreciated.

 

no the server IS online atm. have u updated directx and your gfx card drivers?

 

The server is online, if it was offline you would be able to start the game, but you wouldn't be able to connect to the authorization server. Maybe you should try updating your DirectX?

I found the issue. My DirectX was out of date. Thank you for directing me to those guides.

However, now it seems my old graphics card is out of date.. Jolly. Ah well, it shall be some time before I might join in the game but at least it's an eventuality now

maybe u guys can help me with my problem...

i can log all my toons except for 1.. i did the player unstuck request and it took her to the starting point..

but soon as i log her in the whole client crashes.

is there any other way to get her running again??

 

Here are some solutions:
1. Try to upgrade\repair your drivers, directx etc...
2. AION is not installed correctly, before re-installing AION, try to repair your client.
Start menu > Programs (or All Programs) > NCSoft > NCSoft Launcher
Look for "AION" in the list, right click and then choose "Repair".

The last solution is to re-install (=redownload) the game.

tnx for the advise but i already reinstalled the game 3 times and it still isnt working
i can log her on for only 3 secs then the whole game crashes
i dont know what else to do
i tried pming all gm's but noone's responded >.<

 

Here is advice. Try to Delete your item.Pak then let ncsoft repair it.
If that works and you want to trade untradeable items use this one.
