    The system already exists, it's simply disabled for balance reasons.

    We might implement it for general use at a later date although last I checked one of my Admin characters is still married to Vildill :/

    I believe it's kinda unfair to point it out if the feature is not available for normal players, don't you think so? It's like teasing the normal players who cannot access this marriage system and only GMs can get married - as for now.

    Well, honestly, the rich variety in remodels, means that the game is not pure PvP, but it's also a fashion fest for all those people who like to be fashionistas show off their shiny armor. As known from real life, only girls and gays are doing this. Any guy who is showing off is gay, deep inside even if he doesn't admit it because real guys need no cheap attention. :p

    Anyways, the marriage system should be gender free as Aion is a game designed for all 4 genders. :)

    OK this thread is getting a bit stupid now so time to cut the shenanigans and close it.

    To answer the questions raised:

    Yes we have given consideration to a marriage system and the basic functionality is already available within the server core. Having said that the feature is a bit buggy when it comes to perks and there are some balance concerns surrounding marriage abilities (teleportation mostly) which need to be addressed before we even consider making this feature available to the general public.

    On the subject of gay marriage since that seems to be the buzz topic of this thread - yes the code does allow us to enable it if we so choose and it is currently set that way. If we ever do decide to implement marriage within Aion I see no harm in removing gender restrictions.

    With that said the entire marriage system will be remaining inaccessible for the time being until we've had time to look at it.
