Chanter Build: What do you think is more effective?

Actually I'm running now with an offensive build. Crit/MAcc. Athana's Staff, NCC mace and Shield. it's working for me atm, we'll i think one way or another your gonna have to choose which build will fit your gameplay. I think the build up are good and is effective to ones purpose. My chant right now is on its killer build but then again the yin yang effect, i get immo easily. I'm ok with mages, and clerics root i can just pot em out but with glad's ankle snare it's a pain in the *ss . I can manage a 1v1 glad fight ankled snare if my buffs are on avail but 1 vs group/zerg/more than 1, its a dead trip for me . But anyhow, I'm always open for any changes. Ima try MR as soon as i get the hang of my macros/keybinds and gameplay ..

i still prefer a full MR chanter than other build, full crit staff, full MR mace and shield.
crit and accu can be increase by scrolls & foods. chanter also have mantras that help increase its stats. so defense type is the best chanter imo. remember gamez dont play 1v1 all the time, u have more chance to kill when ur harder enough to be killed.

 

Drop that bazooka that you are holding and running around with.

 

Crit on staff. MR on armor. MR or block on shield and mace.
best option for me

offensive all the way, chanters are boring already dont go support build..

 

I think the boredom is there you just to find a way to enjoy the class. Offensive seems to work for me atm, but ima try the other side of the coin. so i can really decide what fits me.

 

LOL! if you play chanter then you find being a support to a party boring, then there's no reason for u to be a chanter..

I myself as a chanter enjoy to kill enemies but when my partymates is thanking me because of my support, the happiness I feel will be doubled ^^

you can actually easily kill a gladiator with an offensive build.. if you're using a offensive build, you should be as fast as lightning.. kill them first before they try to kill you, just like an assassin

I'm trying out Full MR set with mace and shield and with full crit on staff atm. Using offensive food, scrolls and mantras too. I get less ankle snares and debuffs, live long but kills longer though its a survival build up.

 

to live longer gives you higher chances of killing the enemy..
