So I've been having issues with both of these skills for a while now. Shield counter apparently works just fine on a templar but on my glad (yes, duh, I'm using a shield) it doesn't seem to activate. The icon lights up but pressing it doesn't do anything.

As for Spirit Absorption. I've noticed sometimes it works but other times it doesn't. I've tried standing right next to the pet when I use it and it doesn't work. What I have noticed however is that it works just fine when the pet has just been summoned but doesn't seem to do anything when the pet (or myself) is in combat. I haven't really looked into this aspect however. I have not looked into whether or not targeting matters either.

Anyone know of these issues with both these skills?

    To use Spirit Absorption:
    1.- summon ur spirit
2.- Target ur self, ( the spirit must be close to you)
    3.- Use Spirit Absorption
    4.- Enjoy ur 30% + MP :)

I hope that work to u,,,, (that work 100% to me)

That works when you're in combat too? I'll test it out, thanks.

Just tested, once you've entered combat with your spirit, targeting yourself gives back no energy.
