[3.0 XP Item Pak] By Badrobot

Hello guys

First of all im not sure if it will work for everyone so dont flame me if it doesnt work,i just wanna help..but i have tried just too many possibilities and its the only thing that AT LAST worked for me. I am making a new thread so everyone will see it and it wont be lost somewhere in the posts of the 3.0 item pak thread.

So these are the steps (its pretty simple,just needed some experimentation)

1: Go in game and make your graphics FULL SCREEN 800x600 Press Apply/Ok and then press Escape>Exit Game (You can do this with any item pak that works for you,either original 3.0 pak or 2.7 old item pak.
2: Go to your aion folder,keep the original 3.0 item pak in Aion/Data/Items
3: Put the item Pak Version 2 in Aion/Data/Usa/Items ~link of the pak Items.rar - ItemsV2.rar
4: Try to login now,no need restart

Note: You can change the graphics back to whatever you like once you log in successfully,just make sure to switch it back to 800x600 full screen before you logout,so that you wont be having login problems next time you wanna play.

If you get sendlog the first time try it a couple of times just in case,cause i have noticed 1 sendlog out of 10 times when you try to login.

This is it,i guided another 2 people in game and it worked for them too.

I really hope that it will work for as many people as possible.

As the other methodes this one doesnt worked for me also. i dont know how long it will take to fix it.

 

done that,no sendlog at all....but still cant put my ABG items to acc warehouse..the untradeable clause under items still there.

 

Wow thats weird .. Are you sure you didnt put them in opposite folders?

Seems a step in the right direction, but I too still see the non-tradeable text on my items. And non-strable in acc wh.

 

I just want to help cause i know how much it sucks when you cant play freely..

 

logout only? not exiting the game?

my friends have xp and it doesn work for them (they dont speak english either)
So i will have to do some translating,

But i ve got one question about step 3, cause I get so many files when i extract the rar file

IS the thing you hav to do is just copy all the list of files and copy it into USA/Items ?
Or do u hav to use something to make it into a pak file?

Sry about it dude ^^ as i said it wont work for alot of people but i hope it will help some.. Try the same thing with another item pak might work who knows..as smartik said we need to experiment..

Just mark all and drag them in aion/data/usa/items .. it ll be 4k files or so in the folder after you extract it..

 

what do u mean by opposite folders??
i do put it at Aion/Data/USA/Items/

 

Well usually the item pak that is located at aion/data/usa/items is the one that makes the difference in game. If you put 1 item pak in aion/data/items and one at aion/data/usa/items its always the second one that matters in game IF BOTH FOLDERS HAVE ITEM PAK thats why its weird that even though your client loaded having an item pak in aion/data/usa/items you still see the unstorable sign in game..

So just double checking, we have to set the resolution back to 800x600 every time we are going to log out? That would be kind of annoying, wouldn't it? It would move floating bars and chat bars all over the place I think..

I have understood that Smartik also doesn't have a windows XP system to compile the items.pak, nor does he have testers, correct? I might be interested in helping him out if that's the case.

 

Yep you need to make it full screen and 800x600 everytime you logout. Its not annoying nor it has any problems,it just loads the same way that the windowed client does for me,i dont see any difference. I just make it windowed afterward so that i can go forum while playing..

This is the only way for me so i have no choice,i dont mind if i have to make it full screen everytime i logout,at least i get to have a working item pak without changing operating system. Also smartik said that hes gonna be inactive,i havent seen him for a week so i guess nobody is working on a working (for everyone) XP item pak..

Good to know mate.. but im just using xp sp2 and it still works so i guess it depends on the person..

 

u sure?MSXML 4? i have the version 6.well ill try installing that.
