[3.0 XP Item Pak] By Badrobot

Hi. this may sound strange , but has any one tried putting the item pak "either version" into the aion/data/Europe, even though your client is aion/data/usa I think It's worth a shot.

I put the item pak files of the uncompressed version into both Aion/data/Europe/items & Aion/Data/Usa/Items.

Myn works fine

The only other suggestion I have regarding the item pak , would be the service pack people's xp is running , I remember having trouble with gamez when i had a specific version of xp in the past.

my aion client crashed, and reparing won't do. Need to download the whole client again..

 

If it crashed because of the v2 item pak you put in aion/data/usa/items then just delete the item pak and let the folder empty it should work..

 

well, Aion is beating me it seems. I'm a few milliliters of patience away from reformatting to W7, and your method didn't make it for me either x.x...

Seems like I'll be having to learn how to make a Win XP items.pak by myself pretty soon, since this is getting on my nerves; I want my bow remodeled to that EAC-ish skin and I want it NAO -.-..

EDIT: Oh lookie, I think I know why my game didn't even give your method a chance... the freaking graphics options reset themselves as soon as I close the game. Due to this, I can't make screen 800x600 nor can I try out HD Graphics Engine >.>

 

Just try all the item paks and always make it full screen even if its 1280 or 1024. Give it a try with full screen.

 

finally, this one worked for me. too bad my VIP expired a week ago.

i just followed badrobot's guide :lol:

* deleted any files in aion\data\usa\items and aion\data\europe\items
* placed the original item.pak in aion\data\items
* login to aion and set the resolution to 800x600 - saved - exit game
* unzipped itek.pak version 2 in aion\data\usa\items
* logged in again to aion and magic happened. i can now use my warehouse and trade items.

important: always set the resolution to 800x600 before you logout.

 

tried already. nothing work.

 

..it will be nice if u put links for the downloads of these files..^_^

sorry to hear that. i know how frustrating it is for us to wait for the itek.pak that would really work for win XP. i just hope Gamez or someone could make that item.pak we've all been waiting for.

"important: always set the resolution to 800x600 before you logout." - actually right now i tried not reverting again to 800x600 resolution before exiting the game, it still works for me. less hassle as i dont have to set the resolution to 800x600 everytime i logout.

don't know much about these... where do I need to put MSXML 4.0 sp3 and NET Framework 4.0?
