Missing Effects & Instant Crash

Strange. Yesterday my Aion seems fine and playable. But today something went wrong.

At the character select screen (not character creation), when I pick my chosen character it doesn't do any "pose effects" just standing still and shouting, same goes to all my characters, now when my character logs in the game it crashes instantly.


I already repaired Aion by NCsoft and still nothing changed.


Need some technical support here.

 

I assume you've changed your graphic option and displayed effects for self.

Speaking of Instant Crashes, Its either you have items.pak issues or must be stucked character, Please be more specific on this, are you getting send logged in pandae/Sanct? Are you using the older version of itempak?

If you're using the older version of items.pak and you're crashing in pandae (around temple of gold) Sanctum (around protectors hall)
Then you'll need to update it, search for smartik's 3.0 items.pak guide.

If you're crashing though you're using the new version items.pak, you might be stucked and you'll need to get an Unstuck Player Request in gamezaion website.
Note that you have to wait for the server to restart before you open that particular stucked characters otherwise your requests are useless.

I've finally fixed the two problems, but another problem just appeared.


Within 5 out of 10. There's a chance that Aion will freezes the whole PC, when that happens the game will "stop" with background sounds still working and I can't Alt+Tab or Ctrl+Alt+Del at all but the mouse cursor still can be controlled but pretty much useless at that point. Waiting for some few minutes the PC will BSOD.

I wonder if anyone else experienced this as well?
