Magic Supression

What exactly is Magic Supression ?


Well, since i buy a new set i was thinking "well EAC ok don't seems be that good m.supress, let me see ACD"...i buy that new Chain set and i don't see any diferece from EAC from my gladiator in fact i recive almost the same dmg and i have almost twice M.Supression with my cleric, so one think came on my mind M.Supress is really working ?

Can somebody even show me a test with that set ? and i don't wanna see duel test but pvp test.

Magic suppression is a negation for Magic Boost so if you got 300MS and the sorc got 3300MB he'd hit as if he had 3000MB...

But concerning a "pvp" test it's quite implausible to get accurate data from since it would require 2 people. 1 with a known amount of MS and 1 person with known MB. To get as many data points as possible about 4 tests would be needed to be performed so lets say the target with MS is a templar and the other is a sorc

1: Templar w/ armor... Sorc w/ armor
2: Templar w/o armor... Sorc w/ armor
3: Templar w/ armor... Sorc w/o armor
4:Templar w/o armor... Sorc w/o armor

Now this kind of thing to get accurate data is as I said bit tricky if not impossible to get from a PvP battle where there can be several other people joining the brawl throwing accuracy out the window.


EDIT: Also I seem to recall something about a softcap on magical boost at around 3300 so if your ms doesn't bring it below 3300 you won't see any major difference. But I could also be entirely wrong since it's been a while since I played.

 

Magic Suppression is basically Reduction of Magical Damage.
It's working fine on me,from random 3-4k Glacial Shards of sorcerers to 1-2k. Although some sorcerers rolled from MR/MA to MB/MA so they're still able to hit hard.

 

Well if you try reading inputs from NA Aion forums they're saying almost the same thing that MS doesn't do much as reducing the MAGIC dps instead its just like taking 1/4 or 1/8 of the Spells Total DPS output.

Magic Supp is good if combined with Max Elemental Defense which will surely give you the reduction you're looking for.

 

Well MS does work,its just..nobody said that it decreases loads of dmg,you should also check before buying because ACD and EAC are almost the same thing^^ Magic suppression decreases magic boost,for 1 MS you decrease 1mb of your enemy,with your 900 MS you decrease 900 MB but that doesnt mean that it decreases alot of dmg,elemental defense still is much stronger than magic supression when it comes to protecting. For example,your chain set does have almost 1k MS and thats something,but on templar you get a crappy 500 MS and thats really lame,thats like not wearing EAC cause seriously with or without 500 MS if you are gonna die you ll still either way. LOL

 

or 2 tests : one with abg and one with eac (eac has around 0.5% more pvp defence too )

would he ask "really worth buy ACD" if he already bought it ?

Not much , i was talking to some friends they give almost the same answer about MS...thats really clear my mind out, i will try to test thist MS with a little bit more of Elemental resist then.

guys forget the meaning of my post and u just hold on only one phrase, i just want someone take my doubt and that was made.

 

ms work fine u have no ideea how helpfull. i got sorc full mb and u know how low i hit another sorc with eac set? dont think 300 ms is -300mb for sure is more cuz my dmg for ex is like 30/40% less on a eac set. on the abg i had crits 14 k max^^but on eac dont think i can hit more than 7k with crit well that s full buffed only ofc..mean around 4k mb.so my opinion eac/acd help a lot vs mages,

4k MB? Seriously? Glad I went retail, at least not every sorc will have that much.
