I'm having fun on this server.

How about a positive thread amidst all the negativity.

Dupers, hackers, downtime, absent GMs. These are common problems on all private servers. It happens. Despite that, the server is built so that you can still play and have fun.

I'm in an awesome legion, and I am competitive in pvp without paying an arm and a leg and half my life savings. Asmos shoot through the walls of termi? Who cares. I fly outside and over the roof. Dead asmo. Speed hacker? Meh, so he can run away really fast. I'm still alive. Dupers? I have a history of being vocal about them, but in the end, I still have everything I could want and could get it all again if I lost everything without problem. No GM on? Oh well. I manage to solve my own problems. Even if I get scammed or lose kinah in a glitch, kinah is so inflated that it's worthless.

It's a good server, and not everyone here is as oppurtunistic or evil as the trolls want you to believe. Asmos and Elyos are fairly even in pvp these days. Competitiveness abounds, and new players can get geared up and in the fight within a couple days, keeping new blood cycling through.

The majority of you need to just chill the hell out. If you hate this place so much that all you do is troll the forums on an alt account with doomsaying nonsense, you can do what your own posts say and march in the mass exodus that isn't happening. You are here to have FUN. It's a game. If you aren't having fun, find something that is, because there is no reason for your leisure time to be stressful. And this last paragraph is to be especially noted by the trolls that will come to flame this thread.

It's because there's so much negativity in these forums, notably people that flame or create posts that hint that the server is failing or there's something behind the magic curtain. People take this game too seriously and drama ensues.

 

Tbh there is drama, more than enough of it... but I don't care anymore. Life is too full of drama.

Added: And let's face it, the fact that I'd have to care plays an integral role. Meh... if shit goes down then that suck's; but that won't be the end of me lol.

Agree~ It is bound to happen with private servers ^-^. I think people just get frustrated and forget that it IS a private server. Must be real complicated to make sure that everything is running correctly and please every single player on the game.

I enjoy myself on this server too, I mean I must admit that the in game glitches n such are quite frustrating but I have to remind myself that it is a private server and to be patient. ^-^

I guess just be glad that its here for our enjoyment

It's like a boo hoo fest in game complaining galore....but i say the server is good i broadcast it on xfire and i think i got like 8 ppl to play so im pretty proud of that...O and on a side note if u complain about no gms...guess what u can try and apply for a gm position i mean u might as well join ur crying enough about it.

 

I like your positive outlook, it's real impressive, and i agree with part of your argument. I'm not here to spread "doomsday" theories, nor to bitch and whine about the server. I simply don't like where the server is headed. You can have aaaaaallll the things you stated, but it simply isn't good enough. I'm not angry at the dupers, glitchers, bug abusers... of course I can deal with them, I've reported several. What I AM angry with is the fact that our owner does not show his face, but rather lets the admin run things as best he can. What I'm also angry with is the apparent misappropriation of funds, and the overall lack of interest or explanation from him. Am I having fun in the server? yeah, I am, and thats why I haven't left, yet. The server was great at one point, but we're on a downhill ride, and if you go downhill fast enough Autumn, no matter how positive your outlook is, you're going to crash and burn. I admire your positivity, frankly it's refreshing and reassuring, but you are another user, without any sort of power. In the end, when the owner shows up and tells me "I'm taking care of this right now" I'll be the first one to post positive comments. I have no interest in seeing the server collapse, but the fact that I'm being realistic does not make me some sort of "doomsday theorist".

I'm certainly not happy with the administration. Never claimed to be. The server is however playable and even fun without any interaction with GMs at all. I understand the general frustration with what is left of the GMs, but it just isn't worth all the threads and harsh language. There is a clear line between a civil complaint and a lynch mob. This forum community has crossed that line.

 

Yeah, the torches are definitely part of the line.

 

We are long past frustration with what is being done to fix things. This server has hit the downward spiral, and despite assurances from Alente that things are being fixed, it isn't going down it any slower.

It's been a month now. During all that time people have still been donating. Carl has to claim responsibility for this instead of hiding behind his staff.

Does this have enough substance for the man who made cheesecake threads whenever server crashed?
