    Method 1
    1. Make sure your Aion\Data\USA\items\ and Aion\Data\Europe\items\ folders are empty or not there
    2. Copy a version of the items.pak into your Aion\Data\USA\items\ folder, right click and choose "extract here"
    Note: if the folder is missing, create it yourself
    3. Try run the game
    4. If you get errors, delete everything in your Aion\Data\USA\items\ folder and check that your game works
    5. If it works, download another version and follow the same process
    6. If no version works, proceed to Method 2
