Aion (4.0) first new class (gunner)

there is going to be 4 new classes in this is one of them

 

I heard there was only supposed to be 3 new classes... and from what I've seen, there's only 2 classes announced.

Gunner
Dancer

With the Dancer having a magical weapon that buff's [more of the chanter type].


I'm thinking the next class might be something along the lines of necromancer? At least I hope...

so in other words a ranger that can use guns. gg. I want a brawler these classes are scrubs.

 

I second that buddy hehe, but think gunner cross between ranger and sin has the range of ranger but many of its skill will be similar to sins i bet... imagine dueler wonder how its going to play out. if they come out with brawler class like monk omg im devoted to aion again for sure LOL

aion has a necro class SMS lol all the necro fundamentals are there lifesteal, debuffs, dispell, dots, and pets is just not all deathy

 

I agree as well with the Brawler idea. It'd be awesome to punch shit into oblivion.
I just don't think 'dancer' or 'bard' was the best choice to go. It better come out ****ing amazing.

 

Guns totally ruin the game afterall, Every single game at some point adds a gunner class tryna make it interesting yet they always end up being Underpowered, boring and overall useless.
They shouuld get focused on improving some stuff rather than adding a class which might or might not be accepted by everyone, Personally I think this is just a resource to get back some players who are currently moving to several new games which are coming out or are about to come [D3, GW2, Tera, BnS, etc].

But since I always have my mind open, I never know, perhaps the gunner class and the dancer might be a nice improvement to the gme depending on how do they develop the class overall and their skills aswell, I've been Amused by NCSoft's games several times, but mostly cos of their releases, not their updates, Which leads me to think it will most likely end up as a bad thing.

Dancer class sounds a lot more interesting than gunner anyways, Chanter isn't much of a buffer if you take into account most of the players just built it as a DPS hero, and sometimes they end up being the best to pvp due to the duality of their skills, However a Dancer might end up being bored if it's nothing but buffs and low damage skills, Which might also lead to boredom and overall disgust from everyone.

About the other classes which still remain hidden, We can just wait and see.

Well, considering Ateria is losing it's aether and such what not. Advances in technology....who knows how they will fit it into the evolving story of AION itself?

Either way. I will relish...the fact that I will have pew pew sticks.

Should of just made adaptations of the current classes, like Templar to Paladins, Spirit masters to Avatars and so. I don't see why would people drop a character that was worked on for more than two years to go an entirely new class with no way of ever catching up to the old players. [retail I'm referring too].

 

And about new armor types? With three new classes, any new type of armor will be implemented too? What do you guys think?

I actually disagree with everyone here. I like the idea of "pew pew" sticks.
Aion is a FANTASY game, and nowadays more and more fantasy games are having gunner classes in them.
And second there is a part of the story where [at least in retail] they are trying to find a way to fire magic through a cannon, aka gun. Plus there is a lot of little hints at technology and that stuff so I really can see it happening, also stop thinking about AK 47's and tommy guns, think is muskets and things used in the civil war, steampunk.

Edit: also if you think about it, the gunner class is just a reskinned ranger...there's really not much different that will "ruin the game." or "make aion a totally different game" people are overreacting much
And god forbid you actually like the class. Wait for it to come out before you say its terrible.

 

yah, think ncsoft just went off base this one, technically if aion adds classes should be 4 new ones for one of each armor type... and there are four undentified emperean lords we do not know the class light chick, space dude (dead) , time chick (Dead), and dark dude so as we see the lore the eight emperean lords are classes we play today so they really should fashion classes after the unknow ones... guess creators forgotten its own lore....

 

Meh put a Brawler class like the others said, or make a Barb like class (From Diablo) and I'll love this game like no tomorrow.

 

Would have been way better if they added Balaur chars with some new classes lol
