The classic cleric debate!

So far I have a full +15 eac chain set +15 full Magic resist, archons captions maul+15 Full mr and nishakas shield also Full +15 mr, lvl 50 cursed forest earings, rakshas rings, and cursed forest belt,

Now my questions is, how much magic resist is enough?
I mean for PVE!

I had block in my wep and shield once, and seemed more uber, but still undecided on a good pve build.
Now I know eac isnt pve set but im working towards primal spirit atm..

I dont pvp much anymore cause of the inbalance and epic zerger fests..

So if I want a good, solo class PVE, set any suggestions ??

Full block?
Full resist?
Mix?

How much MR?
How much block?
Neither? LOL?

I have 2329 M resist now.

Block would help more in PVE than MR due to the fact that 90% of PVE damage is physical.

 

I sorta figured that, I tried some block in my shield, and seemed to make a difference..I just wondered so I didnt waste any stones..
And how much Magic resist should I have. I currently have 2329...?

 

You only need NHDE accessories to get a higher Mresist.

 

Also, how does parry effect things, ? Just wonder, cause I know parry and block have something in common....
And WTH is nhde accessories?? Wats the full name lol. im new to the 3.0 stuff...

 

Id say keep your EAC Chain with MR,for a few cases that MR is actually useful in pve,for example when raksha throws the rocks,you can resist them,when raksha does black flame skill,you can also resist it with high MR. I also remember resisting death sentence from lord lannok back in the day.

Now..if you want to have good pve setup.

Id say go with this.

NHDE/MCD Plate Helm
Primal spirit chain set +15 Fully slotted with HP manastones.
Tatar's Flawless Shield +15 Completely slotted with Block Manastones
Primal Spirit Cleric Mace +15 6 slotted Full HP (The mace that gives 7% casting speed)
Your accessories seem ok,i havent really checked the stats of those 3.0 accessories because im still using NHDE accessory set,but yea i know that they have strong stats,so you should be fine,just make sure that all your accessories give HP,if not..then get rid of them.

 

Well I already planned on getting primal spirit set, and My mace is Archons captains maul +9 casting speed so I think Im set,

And isnt hp bad cause it dont actually stop the ammount of hp ur taking, only gives a ton... Eventually U get to low hp and its so much harder to heal, and also running out of mp lol..

And I have 1 cursed forest T ring, and one ACTE ring for pvp.2 rakshas t rings. 1 cursed forest sash
Hidden manor T necklace, besh, cleric hairpin, nishakas shield. ACM mace. and eac, which is still full mr, linked shield with block recently, and weps resist also.


and about the hp thing, im only guessing, but i am still not a pro yet so..

Btw i looked at the shield... nice, but wtf is hate LOL, new stat, wats it do?

 

Well HP is the best cleric pve build,just stack block only in the shield and it will give you cap to block the mobs,you dont need more than 5-6 block stones,that shield has a huge base block. And no man,HP is very important.. Im using a fenris set with full HP and i can solo bosses in argent manor and elementis forest. Just make sure you have mana potions. HP will protect you from AOE attacks and from bosses that aggro you when all your mates are dead. With full HP you ll get around 14-15k HP which is more than enough.

Well that shield gives + enmity but thats ok,3% wont do a thing. Or you can just use the primal mace/shield set,but it gives less block.


Earlier today i was using my wife's cleric,which is wearing a fenris gear with HP and i was able to tank vasharti and heal my self til the boss was dead.

 

LOL that sounds hard to believe!!!!!!!!! But yah I know what u mean by soloing bosses, only I can solo smaller bosses like unstable triroan, and the bosses in dark poeta. udas temple bosses and sum other bosses aswell, havent tried harder bosses yet...

And what about my eac set, should I put hp in that, or just forget it and go with ps armor.?

Keep your eac as it is,MR is useful for pvp,and in a few cases in pve. Just follow what i said in the first post. Well,with a little practice you can solo almost anything,except bosses like cadella because that one keeps adding buffs and you need a complete group if you want to kill it. Vasharti aint hard to tank,i tanked it just fine and with fenris my physical defense was like 1800 or something. I would have done a bit better with a masta set. But i picked fenris because it gives good HP and good MP,besides that was the only pve set on that cleric

Ok fenris set?? lol where do i get that? only heard of it once. lol on the website? or can i farm it?@?

 

Enmity boost+ means u attract mobs easier
and enmity boost -is the oppposite, i dont attract aggro!

 

Leave fenris,thats an old set,also its quite expensive because people call it "rare" so just get primal spirit and you are all set.

EDIT! The nishakas shield I have has exact same stats +1 extra slot lol...

 

Just use nishaka's,it has -enmity. But its ugly

 

LOL makes me wanna puke, I have rakshas shield though, is nice...ill just remodel
