Welcome to the server. I hope the massive amount of Asmodian jerk heads let you level up. Eltnen, the Elyos zone for 20~40, has been recently overrun.

My suggestion is Once you ascend, do the stigma quest ("No Escaping Destiny/ Sliver of Darkness") and then try your best to go up to level 40 asap. Try to level in obscure areas of Eltnen to avoid getting griefed, and once you're 40, go to Theobomos to finish your leveling until 55.

also some pro tips:

To expand your inventory:
1.) Poeta: Talk to the shugo cube craftsman. He'll add 9 spaces for 1,000 kinah.
2.) In Sanctum, in the hall of prosperity, there are two shugo craftsman who offer several more upgrades for more kinah each.
NOTE: there are a few more upgrades but by the time you need them you wont need me to tell you how to get them

3.) www.google.com, search for "Nya's Aion Translator" allows you to translate asmodian/elyos texts.

4.) You have two types of warehouse. Character (specific to that one character) and Account (accessable to all characters on the account.) While your character warehouse is only accessable by that one character, your account warehouse is accessable to all characters on the account, even if they're from different factions. So you can transfer your items between your elyos and asmodian characters.

5.) Take a look at the guides section on the forum. LOTS of helpful stuff is in there.

6.) If you're a ranger or assassin, using poison on a grounded target makes it impossible for them to fly until the ailment has passed or has been cured.

Uh... Apologies, but I've got some pretty great friends. They finished power leveling me today, and I've already got everything I need. I'm in the legion 'The Illusionist'. Oh and... I'm a Chanter. I'll probably just use him to help with healing and DPS in raids, and then make a Gladiator for PVP. But... I do appreciate the gesture.

That was patched in 1.5. You can fly even if poisoned.

Oh come on... both sides are great; even though I'm pretty new myself, I have chars from both races and love them both... Gotta mix it up a bit.
