So last night I was thinking if there was a creative way of making a buddy of mine lose "the game" (the game is as follows: if you think about the game you lose the game). Since we've been playing said game for over 4 years now it can get quite stale when you just go "you lost the game." This is what happens when creativity and math meets boredom. Please try to stay with me here, I'm typing this up because I'm a little proud of myself for creating it.

Let's use multi-variable calculus and partial derivatives to make someone lose the game! Obviously this has bigger applications than this. What you're about to see is the foundation for a simple encryption algorithm ((really really really simple)) that is still complicated enough to avoid your message being leaked.

    This is the message: T H E G A M E
    These are corresponding letters: B C X K L J X

The chosen representative letters are somewhat arbitrary, I purposely picked different letters in order to avoid confusion later on. Note that the variable letters could be russian, greek, or anything else.

Let f (x,b,c,l,k,j)= (c^3)(x^6)(b^2) + (j^4)(x^6)(k^2)(l^3) This is a function in space, namely the 7th dimension of space but that doesn't concern us. It is just a function with 6 arbitrary letters.

Let f (x,b,c,l,k,j) = j(c^3)k(x^6)l(b^2) + (j^4)x(x^6)c(k^2)b(l^3) This is perhaps the simplest function which will yield the message I want to convey, following the rules of partial derivatives.

Now let's find fljkcbx(x,b,c,l,k,j) [This is the 6th partial derivative of the function]

    f (x,b,c,l,k,j) = j(c^3)k(x^6)l(b^2) + (j^4)x(x^6)c(k^2)b(l^3)
    fl (x,b,c,l,k,j) = j(c^3)k(x^6)1(b^2) + (j^4)(x^6)c(k^2)b(2l^2)
    flj (x,b,c,l,k,j) = 1(c^3)k(x^6)1(b^2) + (4j^3)(x^6)c(k^2)b(2l^2)
    fljk (x,b,c,l,k,j) = 1(c^3)1(x^6)1(b^2) + (4j^3)(x^6)c(1k)b(2l^2)
    fljkc (x,b,c,l,k,j) = 1(3c^2)1(x^6)1(b^2) + (4j^3)(x^6)1(1k)b(2l^2)
    fljkcb (x,b,c,l,k,j) = 1(3c^2)1(x^6)1(2b) + (4j^3)(x^6)1(1k)1(2l^2)
    fljkcbx (x,b,c,l,k,j) = 1(3c^2)1(6x^5)1(2b) + (4j^3)(6x^5)1(1k)1(2l^2)

Now we simplify, because we are good mathematicians

    fljkcbx (x,b,c,l,k,j) = (3c^2)(6x^5)(2b) + (4j^3)(6x^5)(k)(2l^2)
    fljkcbx (x,b,c,l,k,j) = (2b)(3c^2)(6x^5) + (k)(2l^2)(4j^3)(6x^5)
    fljkcbx (x,b,c,l,k,j) = 36(b)(c^2)(x^5) + 48(k)(l^2)(j^3)(x^5) <-- this is the function we're concerned with. [key]

Note that the exponents on the function match up with the order of the letters.

Now find fljkcbx (e^1/5,t/36,h^1/2,a^1/2,g/48,m^1/3) <-- this is your encrypted message.

    fljkcbx (e^1/5,t/36,h^1/2,a^1/2,g/48,m^1/3) = 36(t/36)((h^1/2)^2)((e^1/5)^5) + 48(g/48)((a^1/2)^2)((m^1/3)^3)((e^1/5)^5)

    Let's clean that up

    fljkcbx (e^1/5,t/36,h^1/2,a^1/2,g/48,m^1/3) = the+game

Tah-dah! Your message is revealed. I hope you understood this... well, I hope SOMEONE understands this. This algorithm was very very very simplistic, but if I wanted to I could make it extremely hard. Also the longer the message gets, the more difficult your algorithm will be :D. I know it's not very hard at the moment since I put just under 90mins of thought into this, so please forgive me D:

Hey guise! I found the spambot mother! It's got extremely weird numbers that I think create spambots! Let's nuke it before it lays eggs D:

Sir, I followed you up to the part where you started talking about multiple dimensions. Most countries (3rd world or religious ones, sorry religions) would prolly crucify you at that point, screaming random blabber like "He's possessed by the devil!" and crap ._.

I keed the overly supersticious 3rd world countries! I'm just nowhere near your understanding of maths, and I consider myself smart D: (in other words, YOU SUCK SIRJOE, BACK TO YOUR CORNER!)

    Verdict
When you spoke of the 7th dimension I instantly start thinking on the Superstring Theory 10th dimensional consistency... luckily it wasnt, if not lack of sleep will be assured.

Then I was reminded of the Calabi-Yau 6th dimensional manifold, since the extra dimensions of spacetime can be conjectured to take a form similar to it, leading us to the idea of the mirror symmetry theory. Which is interesting because if you have 2 Calabi-Yau 6th dimensional manifolds, that may be geometrically different they are still equivalent only if they are applied as hidden dimensions in the string theory... this is because with the mirror symmetry allows the calculation of quantities that seems incalculable by calling the mirror description of a physical situation... of course it has a mathematical application, but mathematicians knows that the theory is still not fully developed... then... then...

And at this point I don“t remember your question anymore :d
