    Here's my problem

i have this 1 year old 25" Led AOC Monitor and suddenly a few minutes ago and still happening now. My monitor seems to go dark on certain areas (top and bottom) and mid stays the same.

When I turn it off and on, it fixes but randomly goes dark again in a few seconds or sometimes minutes.
also, if i change the screen resolution , it fixes but goes dark again same as when i switch it off and on.

So whats wrong? it is only a year old monitor and my old one which is like 5 years isnt having this problem.

I hope its not dying, coz I dont have a budget to buy a new one yet. -.-
    Thanks.

try connect it to another pc/laptop if u can to see if it happens there. something might just be screwing with the auto detection for resolution

    tested.

still goes dark *more like dim, like lose of light* on top and bottom.

i guess this is a monitor problem . and my warranty is only 1 year, and it just turned 1 year a month ago. nice -.-

are this LED monitors fixable ? i mean can they fix this or LED's are disposable ?

i had this happen on my old laptop, except my entire screen went super dark (could barely see whats on it), it only stayed bright for a minimum time and then dimmed. yea it cannot be fixed, you have to get a new screen.

i know u might not be into conspiracy theories and all that but i find it curious at the very least how technology these days breaks closer and closer to the warranty date. i have an old laptop (at my grandparents house now, i got 2 more since then :p) thats 9 years old by now, its a vaio that runs with like 32mb graphics memory, 256mb ram, 40gb hdd and some other specs ud laugh ur ass off about but it still runs.

Its not a conspiracy, its a marketing strategy to generate rotation of products in a retail based market.

The only place where that does not happen is in the Industrial market, but a LED monitor for industrial uses can cost a couple thousand bucks.

It can also be bad luck.

i am still using it and today, it can no longer be fixed by a simple turn it off - on nor , change resolution.
i did go to a computer shop now, and with what u guys said about conspiracy theories, it scared me more on buying a new one, especially since, most of them are only 1 year warranty.

anyway, i guess by the end of the day, i have no choice.

Taken Via Iphone when i am posting this. :(

i am planning of buying a new screen but i will no longer buy those 25" ones.
not only it costs more than the smaller ones *maybe 18.5"*
just if it gets broken, it wont hurt so much compared to the 25 one.

    sigh.
i cant sell my phone yet. it is still under warranty LoL!
i will sell it when its near its expiration date. :D bwahaha

roflmao.... no one will pay big money for my sexy body. even my wife wants it for free LoL.
actually its not really that hard to purchase a new one if only i am not studying this over expensive culinary art school, and its just I cant spend more than what i have coz I already set up some goals on what to use my money for this coming christmas and new year. i just hope this monitor will last until january (late) coz if not, ill be forced to use my old one which is a CRT monitor that is almost 13 years old. :D
